Absolutely horrifying experience. It started with the camp hosts allowing primitive campers in when the bathrooms and showers were closed and nailed shut. This promoted grown men urinating and defecating in full view, just feet from our Airstream - which was facing the nailed shut bath house. Knowing it would be obvious who reported them, we remained silent, as we were there for an entire week.THEN, *supposedly" some senior male Karen (again, supposedly) claimed we put our trained K9 outside om a lead at 6am (we don't even wake up until 9am-10am, and we walked our furbaby with the exceptionsof tethering him to the Airstream door when we were doing something outside) and allowed him to bark for 2 hours (this would NEVER happen - and again, he's a trained K9 who was happily snoring in bed when this blatant lie was formulated). We suddenly realised the false claim was provably a lie, because we have security cameras (4) inside and out. Cameras showed we awoke and didn't open the doors the first time until 9.38am on the day in question (even later on the previous morning). The ranger's wife was almost revelling in repeatedly telling me that if the SUPPOSED male Karen complained (lied) again, she would *have to* call the sheriff on us??? Oh, but we should keep the camera footage that she didn't want to see, as proof. Sure. Riiight. She enjoyed threatening us. We spent the remainder of our non-refundable week with the shades drawn and recording and saving every time we stepped out with our innocent dog should a false police report be filed by the ranger's wife.Hellish week that we couldn't enjoy because of lying, old Karens/Kevins and disgusting, exhibitionist men.

No showers, no hot water, no staff present on arrival, no water on site (turned it on with help from another camper. Beautiful location.

Very nice site. B25 is close to a bathhouse and easy to get in and out of. Long enough for. 33 foot camper and a truck. If you would like a Air conditioned bathroom the one at the fishing center public boat ramp is very nice

What a beautiful place to camp. The dunes are tall enough to protect from storm surge if needed but just a short walk to the ocean. Surrounding scenery was awesome, bathrooms clean , rangers especially helpful couldnt ask for more. Thanks parks/ recreation.gov

Great site and proximity to the beach! It was clean and the showers had very warm water. If youre outside after dark with no wind, prepare for a buggy onslaught! But I cant take away a star for that. Its nature!

We are a return visitor. Great location in the mid Outer Banks. Restaurant next door at Oregon Inlet Marina is top notch. In addition to Bodie Lighthouse dont miss out on Oregon Inlet Lifesaving station. Just across the bridge onto Hatteras Island

We spent 9 days at the campground and it has some of the cleanest bathrooms and showers I have ever seen. You can walk or drive to the beach. Make sure you bring bug spray midges are terrible.

Of the National Seashore campgrounds on the Outer Banks, this one at Oregon Inlet actually has sites with electric hookup which is nice. Other campgrounds dont and wish they did. Also this campground actually has heated showers which is nice in the colder months. Verizon cellular was usable and since there is no tree cover in the campground my Starlink worked 100%.

Rhe only problem us there No privacy bathroom ,No Lights Door is so all that anyone passing buy can see your everything . Otherwise very nice .

This is a beautiful campground with large sites and concrete drives for your RV. You can see the Bodie Island Lighthouse from your windows. A trip there is a must. The 3 bathhouses and the campground are always clean. The hike over the double set of dunes is hard. There is a path that takes you to beach access ramp 4 and you can take that over to the ocean. You can also drive on this ramp halfway(gravel) and park in a parking lot with a port-a-john and then walk the rest of the way if you do not have a vehicle beach pass and a vehicle that can drive on the beach.
