We loved everything about this campground. The facilities were clean and well kept, enough space for large trailers and it was quiet. The entire experience was peaceful.

Restrooms were always clean, great location (Coquina Beach is minutes away). My only complaint is that there doesn't appear to be a camp host anymore, and one evening someone was playing a radio until 1 AM.

The location is excellent for beach access and visiting local sites of interest - lighthouses and small towns along the Outer Banks. Local dining options are great. Bath houses are a bit dated, but clean. As others have noted, theres little privacy between sites. Overall, you get a healthy dose of quality beach time!

Walking to the beach is challenging especially when hauling stuff or charts but there is a path and its doable. Beach becomes a parking lot. Mosquitoes were out in force in the evenings. Our site had water and electricity. Bathrooms were nice with flush toilets. Easy drive to civilization with restaurants and activities.

Wonderful camping site central to so much to see in the Tidewater region but totally away from the tourist scrum. The ocean view is awe inspiring with a wonderful and vast beach.

Rangers were great, place was spotless. Quiet and relaxing. Only wish walk to the beach was a bit shorter!

We love staying at Oregon Inlet campground but our site (41B) wasnt very level so that we nearly slipped a few times. Bathrooms are very clean and have heating during the cold months. There are sand spurs and cactuses so be aware of letting your dog wander off the path and keep them on the mown areas. We were a little disappointed that there was no recycling as it would be a good example to set for a national park. Being old folk we get a 50% discount so its excellent value.

The campground is very close to the road and based upon our campsite location you could hear the traffic. Other than that it was fine. It is a nice clean camp ground located close to the Pea Island Wildlife Refuge. The bathrooms were very clean as well.

Very nice campground, quiet and well taken care of. Found the spaces easy to back into and the management is extremely friendly and polite. Beach is just a short walk around the dunes! Watch out as they are a lot of little spiked burs in the grass.

We enjoyed our stay. It was really nice to have electric and water at the campsite. If you are hauling a trailer, and/or are prepared to boondock without electric and water at the site, the sites on the outer part of loops B and C nearest to the water are the nicest. However, be prepared to have generators running in sites near you.Though the showers are advertised as cold, there actually was hot water available. No adjustment on temperature, but it definitely was nice to get cleaned up. There is no bench in the shower, so go with minimal stuff. the doors lock, and there are openings above and below the doors to the outside, so it can be a little drafty. Supposedly WIFI is available right at the main office by the entrance by I was never able to get it work with the posted login information.

The host and his wife were awesome. Always willing to help. They were older than 70 and with a lot of energy. Thank you!!!

Stay overall was good. A few suggestions are: removal of sand burrs, full shower doors, fish cleaning station, dump station in campground.

I loved this campground and this whole area of the coast. The staff at Oregon inlet campground were the best! They went out of their way to accommodate me with my stay there. I actually did not want to leave but had to move on. I will certainly try to return.

the trip was to fish and enjoy the beach. we had great weather and found the campground well maintained and clean. we knew about the bugs for I fish the area regulary but the amount of sand spurs at our camp site was more than we ecpected. we put down a carpet at our door but once you got off the carpet the spurs would attach to everything.
@BobbyJ57567777 · Camped on Nov 12, 2020 at Campsite #B41
The only complaint we had was the ground was cover in sand spurs.
