The beach at Oregon Inlet is fantastic! No drop off!! There were four or five turtle nests! Very few trucks or fisherman too! We had rain, yes the mosquitos were freirce! All but one of the campers behaved. They do need a very clear message that generators are off at 10pm. That said, we were so thrilled by the beach and will come again for that for sure. We practically had it to ourselves in August.

Great camping experience where the beach is just "over the dunes". Park ranger and host are very friendly. Pea Island bird sanctuary is a short drive down the road.

The beaches were absolutely pristine. Gorgeous views. Good amenities. My only comment is that if you camp here during the busy season, just head's up: you will hear traffic during the day at the campsite. You won't hear it so much on the beach, but there is plenty of beach off reading, too. It's still a great place to go camping, and a spectacular view for stargazing from the beach.

Wonderful location close to the beach. Rolling dunes make for more privacy than is typical in many campgrounds. Nice breezes. Some mosquitos, but not too bad. Do be careful of ticks. I will keep returning to this campground for years to come- it is one of my favorites.

Facilities clean, a needs a bit of sifting through the sand on campsites. Found a few ticks. Aside from that very windy but not the campgrounds fault. Very little shelter from wind

Well-maintained campground with friendly staff, clean restrooms and showers, potable water. Good cell coverage for T-Mobile. Short drive to PEa Island visitor's center and Nag's Head. Eastern part of all three camping loops are nestled next to the dunes, so a great place to pitch a tent and listen to the waves all night. Tent-only area is removed from the RV sections, so no generator sounds.

We enjoy this camp ground very much. It is not to far away from a lot of the activities

Wonderful campground, just a stone's throw from the beach. The sites are nicely set up, each with a comfy sandy spot for 1-3 tents, a picnic table and a little grill (bring your own charcoal!) The bathrooms were clean and the showers warm. We'll be back again.

The only downside was that there were 20 mph+ winds and we didnt have long enough stakes for our tents. Went to HD and got some 24 concrete stakes, repitched the tents and we were good for the rest of our stay. Stayed up late every night enjoying the night sky without light pollution, absolutely stunning!

Beautiful, idyllic campground right behind the dunes with paths leading to the beach.

We stayed at 15A and it was perfect for us to put up 2 tents and a small shelter that were set back from the road a bit. Views from the dunes were incredible.
