Bathrooms and showers clean. Campground quiet. Ocean on other side of dunes. Be prepared fir storms often and windy conditions. Only drawback is the trucks on the beach make it hard to walk.

The campground was beautiful, clean, and had a nice vibe. We stayed there with our diverse family of four. There were groups of young kids, diverse families, and women. I appreciate seeing all of that at a campground, as it demonstrates a level of safety. There are large bathrooms with 2 sinks and 3 toilets. There are 3 shower stalls in a separate shower house, but beware, only a couple stalls have hot water. Make sure you pack spikes to secure your tent and canopy due to the breeze. I am not a fan of drive on beaches, which is the beach right beyond the dunes. I enjoys going down to the lighthouse beach better, no cars allowed. We loved the town of Rodanthe. Rented a boat there on day. Would absolutely go back to this campground.

was a nice breeze in the evening, the morning was still and the mosquitos chased me away, bring plenty of bug spray. nice sites, road noise can be a bit of a problem for light sleepers in tents

Clean and well maintained campground and facilities. Beautiful, secluded campground with easy access to beach, marina and town of Nags Head.

Location was super awesome, direct access to beach very calm and beautiful place for peaceful day start & sunrise. So I recommend A21 location . Sand dunes were fun to cross.

Always love camping here in the fall. It was a lot more busy than I typically see it the weekend of Thanksgiving but it was still nice and quiet with the dunes muffling every sound. We love coming here; theres nothing quite like it!

Oregon Inlet Campground is a wonderful place to camp. I didn't pup a tent but stayed in the back of my Honda Element, backed up, facing east. Gorgeous sunrises when I was there in October. The campground is exceptionally clean, hot water showers, and very helpful, friendly and accommodating rangers and office personnel. I spent two nights during a long distance hike of the outer banks. Truly my best two nights on my journey.

Fishing at Oregon Inlet surfside was great. Citation drum and shark caught by our group.

The campground was super quiet and just a short walk across the dunes has you out on the beach to catch the sunrise. Be sure you take the time to visit Fort Raleigh National National Historic Site, Elizabethan Gardens (right next door to Fort Raleigh) and Wright Brothers National Memorial!

We've been camping here for FIFTY years! I can't get enough of the Outer Banks experience. I just love being able to see the reassuring beacon of Bodie Island Lighthouse and the pounding surf to lull me to sleep. Be prepared for high wind, sand fleas, and no shade. I was also not expecting the vast number of pick up trucks on the beach by the end of the day, but it really didn't detract from my experience. We will be back!

Great location - will likely go back in the future. However, its ridiculous that none of the facilities were open and we had to pay full price to stay there tent camping in the off season.
