I had a good spot for camping. Close to the bathroom. Only negative was the highway was on the other side of the berm, so it was a bit noisy.

No shade available. Cold showers.very close sites. Unmanned check in/check out station. Probably wont stay there again.

Sites are a bit close together but everyone during our stay minded their business and was very respectful. Showers are nice. Bathrooms were clean. This was our second trip here and it wont be the last.

Very nice location and easy access to the beach and dunes. There is a marina within a short distance from the campsite that displays the worlds largest marlin, which was caught 37 miles from Oregon inlet. Roanoke island and Jockey Ridge state park are within a short driving distance. Only real complaint was the level of wind. Given its geographical characteristics: narrow piece of land, no trees, and flat campsites, it felt as if we were in the middle of the ocean because of such strong winds. It was challenging to keep a flame on the stove and grill. Very close to NC-12 so a bit of road noise to be expected. The first night I did not sleep well because of the tent being hit by wind gusts. The second night I wore earplugs and was fine. I recommend preparing for the wind by bringing a low lying tent and wind breaking supplies, and ear plugs ;)

Overall great campground. Restroom are very clean. Hot showers at the site was the deal breaker. Walking distance to beach. It is very close to the highway so expect continuous vehicle noises at night time. Will come back again.

I had a great time here, tent camping for two nights. When I arrived, my reserved camp site was clearly marked with the site number and my last name. The entire campground, including the restrooms and showers, was clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will definitely come back.
