Beautiful campground but a slightly long walk to the beach. Flush toilets and showers that aren't heated but cert warm. A fabulous way to spend some quality cheap beach time. Clean and reasonably quiet.

We don't have much to compare this to, but we really enjoyed our stay and will be going back. We love the open access and the ability to check in late. The bathrooms are dated but clean. We had no issues. No noisy neighbors or anything negative. The beach access for 4x4 is great. We can't wait to go back and try the other campgrounds too.

I stayed at Oregon Inlet December 27-29. I camped in my tent with my three dogs and had a great time. My site was close to the bathrooms and a 1-2 minute walk to the beach. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained.

Nice campground. Hot shower, but need place to hang towels and change of clothes. No hooks. Also no lights in the shower stalls. Had to rig something up. Staff was nice and helpful. Sites were nice and plenty of room. Bug spray a must. Even in late fall.

A very nice campground. We camped in a tent in early October. The weather was great, only slightly chilly in the morning. No bugs, but that could just be because it was a bit windy. (Id come prepared for bugs at this time of year to be safe.) The sites are rather close, but the dunes can give you a bit more privacy depending on the site. The campground was quiet at night, but noise from the road could be a nuisance in the early morning hours, so bring ear plugs if you think it might bother you. The showers were warm. Beware the sand spurs, especially if you have a dog. We were sorry not to have a campfire, but the stars are beautiful at night.

Restroom in the tent camping area was closed - was offered a site in another loop where the restroom was open but I dont enjoy camping with RVers - nothing personal but I go camping to get away from the tv and computer and ...

An incredibly beautiful camp site and the ranger was very kind and helpful.

The location is remarkable, and you can fall asleep to the ocean waves. Far enough away from the touristy parts, with Pea Island right beside it. The downsides however - Sites were not very large and you had to walk through certain sites to get to the restrooms. Dune trails, while solid in effort, were not the most well maintained. Beware of chollas, which are abundant, and ponding in the event of rain given the low elevation.

Perfect location. Easy access to the beach. Calm. Quiet. The park service really was helpful since I knew I was going to get there after dark.Outdoor shower was perfect temperature, and mostly clean. One of the showers had a broken shelf, so no place to put your soap/gear. Could have used another hook or two in the shower stalls.

Tons of cacti on campsite. Someone set up their tent from midnight-past 2am. Campsite next to me grass caught fire from them cooking due to wind and grass high/unmaintained.
