I had a great stay at Oregon Inlet Campground. A bit of a walk to get to the restrooms from Loop A, but I didn't want to pay the extra fee to tent camp in an RV site. There were very few people camping, which made for a nice, quiet weekend getaway. I was lucky to have a site with very few sandspurs. A caution if you are bringing pets - there are a LOT of sandspurs (at least in Loop A); I had to stop constantly to pull them off my dog's paws on a quick walk around the loop. I would bring paw protection for pets. Overall, a nice, affordable stay on the outerbanks. I will be back.

The staff and the cleanliness of the facilities were amazing. We had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend the campground to anyone.

Pros: Super clean campsite and bath room. Hot shower is amazing. The sand dune in the campground is beautiful and gave my kids a lot of fun to play hide and seek.Cons: the site is small and no privacy.

Good campground, but absolutely no shade. The scenic bypass is very close and with the wind coming from this direction there was constant traffic noise. Nice walking access to the beach.

Had a great time! The walk to the beach from the campsite is long, yes, but i like the exercise. I got plenty of bug bites, sure, but it was my first time car camping at the Oregon Inlet Campground and ill be sure the bring a bug net or something next time

Really nice CG. We stayed there in early Dec 2022, off season I guess, it was dead in the tent loop but pretty busy in the RV loop. Great facilities. Kind of a bummer that the shower by the tent loop was closed, but we had no neighbors, either :) Well maintained, did not experience the sand spurs but I came from the desert SW so may have different expectations for pokies? Great place to base out of. Probably close enough to town for pizza delivery if you're into that.

We had such a beautiful experience! Sleeping under the stars was one of my favorite things in the world and right by the ocean made it so much better!

Overall Great. Would have been 5 stars however the advertised warm water shower was nonexistent. There was a shower with water but it was straight outta the ground and about 55. Friendly staff and beautiful scenery.

We used Oregon Inlet as our jumping off point to see the rest of the Outer Banks. Its pretty close to the bridges in Kitty Hawk and from Manteo. Still close to Nags Head and Kill Devil Hills if you need to visit any stores before you depart for campsites on Hatteras or Ocracoke Island.
