Good as usual, except the shower. The non-handicap shower in C loop was ridiculously warm and had been like that during the last two summers. Not exactly what you want after a long day on the beach and the summer heat. In years past, it wasn't like that until October. Turn the hot water heater off in C loop until October!

Beach is awesome, however if you're walking from the campground to the beach the sand is very deep with ruts from vehicles driving over it. Once you get near the water its great. Maybe a 5 minute walk to the beach, we did encounter those nasty biting sand flies. Fine while you're walking, but be prepared if you stand still or sit around. Lots of repellent is in order. But the quiet beach, views and location can't be beat. Also the showers are great here, nice and hot, plenty of water. Bathrooms were well kept.

2nd time here and I just love this campground. Easy to get to for all RVs, very peaceful and a beautiful 5+ miles of nearly empty beach to explore. A lot of fisherman come here but I just love the peace and the space for me and my 2 dogs to explore. A very unique beach spot with no boats or 4x4 required. The sites are very well spaced, not a ton of privacy because there arent trees but it doesnt feel too exposed because of the spacing.

Great place to stay. Be ready to deal with wind! Visit the Whalebone Seafood Market for great seafood you can cook right in your own campsite and save money on eating wonderful meals OR visit some of the great restaurants in the area. But the best thing about visiting Oregon Inlet is just hanging out on the beach and among the dunes, watching the birds, deer and other creatures. A truly wonderful and restful place to relax and get in touch with nature.

Awesome location! It may have been April when I visited, but the time spent there was well worth it. To be totally honest, I felt so relaxed, I totally lost track of which day of the week and month it was.Sites are clean, the campground host was very friendly. And to top things off, it was "pull rope" showers. Loved it.Thanks NPS for providing nice campgrounds.

Super friendly host, clean bathrooms no showers due to the time of year, to be expected.Beach was heavily polluted with debris washed ashore by storms. Not the National Parks fault, humanitys fault, so bring a bag and do your part, I did mine.

Bath house showers were basically outdoors and freezing. No hot water. I expect more of A National seashore park. Fine for summer but not November on the Outer Banks.

Ian also came to visit as we did. I liked it but wish there was more full hookups available at every government campground on OBX. I do like the hot showers and wish they were at The other OBX campgrounds!

Weather was not the best during my stay but camping right next to the ocean was great. I will be afford this to my list of places to return to.

Amazing camp site right near the ocean. Do not underestimate the wind!!! We arrived right before a storm blew threw and watch a couple tents crumble and many poles snap. Extra stakes and rope is a necessity. The facilities were clean and well kept. We left ready to come back again!

We spent the night early Janairy of 2020. The sites are clean and secluded, but the famous Ocracoke mosquitoes hadnt gotten the memo that it was winter. Still hope to return soon. Nice, new pavement throughout.

The campgrounds and staff are amazing. Thank you for a great experience. It was very clean, electric and water were great, and to walk over the dunes to the ocean was breathtaking. I will definitely be back. We did the Corolla horse tour and it was wonderful. Everyone has to do that at least once. We also tried to visit the restaurants "where the locals eat," and our 2 favorites were the Blue Moon Beach Grille and the Kill Devil Grill. The food was great and we had excellent service!

I stayed two nights and enjoyed the camp. It's not very private in that it is all out in the wide open with campsites fairly close together. But this did make it easier to be friendly with the folks around me, from a 6 ft distance, of course. I really enjoyed having the warm water in the showers which the other CHNS camps do not have. Staff was very helpful.

Lovely park with amazing access to the ocean. The walk across the dunes was magical. Can't wait to go back.

We were here in mid-October so the water was pretty cold and from what I gathered from conversations in the campground, shore fishing was slow. Pea Island N.W.Refuge was filling up with waterfowl, so nature walks were nice. The cool weather made the hot water showers especially welcome. Very well-kept facilities.
