Great campground! Nicely spaced sites, easy access to beach and town, laid back environment. Only thing we missed was being to have fires.

The camp is wonderful. The noseeums ate us alive and flew through the camper screens. The camper also didnt have good airflow and it was very hot, the sea breeze couldnt blow through. We left after one night, next time well bring bug nets for inside the camper

Our stay was overall a grade B-. We invested in the quietest generator on the market to run our A/C but we were required to shut it off at 10pm. We knew this going in but if they were to implement a decibel level ceiling for generators, thatd be great. It was around 74 degrees at night with no breeze, we baked in our Airstream. Or, better yet, install some electric if its gotta be quiet at night. Bring bug spray, again, we knew this coming in, just passing along the fact that the misquitoes mean business. The showers (cold) are very clean as is the bathroom in general. The parking spaces are also well paved and large enough (wide and long).

Site 3 was the best! As this was my first visit to Ocracoke, I chose the site based on the campground map. The cold wind that blew most of the second night was blocked somewhat by the vegetation adjacent to the spot where I chose to pitch my backpacking tent. The sound of rain, wind, and the crashing surf made for a restful night. The campground was nearly empty and I had the entire beach to myself. Walked into the village on my last day on the island and it was equally uncrowded. Love the off-season!

We had such a great time at the campground, spots were a lot bigger than advertised. The camp hosts were absolutely fantastic and we will be coming back again!!!

Great little campground with close beach access. Scout around for sites...we found some with plenty of space and others closer together. Overall we really liked this campground.

The campground we stayed in at Ocracoke was extremely beautiful. The sites are big and densely covered in trees. I plan on going back in the future.

Beautiful location, just behind the dune !!! Actually it would help a lot to have at least some places with electricity. Although we were travelling mid of Sept the night was so hot and we couldn't use our aircon at all. Electricity was just on the opposite of our lot but not usable for visitors :$

Great campground! No electricity or water at the site and the showers are freezing so not a destination for “glamping” but you can’t beat the location. Be warned, the red ants will take over your tent if you have anything sweet, they overran ours because of a single Gatorade.

One of our favorite places. Clean, quiet and great beaches!

May 10-17 was cold (Low to mid 50’s), too windy and rainy.

I enjoyed the campground on Ocracoke except for one issue -- the shower. Really, it's time to get hot water going in federal campgrounds. But back to the good points: The individual sites are spacious, and there's plenty of green area beyond the sites to spread out in. The beach is just a short walk across the dunes. The town is just a short bicycle ride away. I'm going back when I have more time off.

Campground was great right on the beach. Met by friendly staff and were very helpful getting us on the right spot. Great experience, we will definitely come again.

Put a note on the reservation site that water is shut off!! We arrived without water, assuming we could fill up at the dump station. The campground host was very nice and allowed us to fill from his spigot. I would love to give a better review, but can’t. If I knew I wouldn’t be able to fill my water, I would have came prepared, and only stayed 2 or 3 nights. I reserved 4. We left a day early. The sights are on the shorter side. We did manage to book one long enough for our 30’ Airstream. The beach is lovely. The mosquitos were bad, even in December.
