Beautiful location right by the beach. this site was on a dune, we camped in the sand. the site was big enough for 2 tents and fit both cars in the parking spot. we had a lovely time and it was so private and clear out. definitely bring bug spray and watch for fire ants. The bathrooms were well kept and we loved our time here.

This was our first visit with the family to the Ocracoke campground and it was the BEST experience ever starting with JD checking us in. He was so gracious and kind. He came back to us knowing we were first timers and gave us recommendations marked off on the Ocracoke visitor’s map. It was extremely helpful! We loved it there so much, while sitting and enjoying the day watching our kids play corn hole, we decided and booked another visit in July!

As expected, clean campground, well lit bathrooms, cold shower, water access. Very nice camp hosts and enjoyed meeting many retired travelers this time of year. I was camping solo and as before, felt very safe. Gorgeous beach access. Bugs were not bad this time of year, lucked into dryer weather and good winds.

Stayed in spot D13 (no generator, which was our choice), nice private spot, full sun so solar worked great. Beach front spot, with short walk over the dunes. Campground was clean, well maintained, and close to town. There is a bike path that can be ridden into town, which we enjoyed very much. Town of Ocracoke is very quaint with 20 mile per hour speed limit, and lots of golf carts, so bike riding in town was also a great experience. Good selection of restaurants, brewery, etc. in town. Great surf casting!! Will definitely return.

The camp was remarkable and the seashore was spectacular! This, despite being rather empty with few campsites taken due to being off-season and bad weather!

The site and campground were excellent. However. The beach access in the Dloop should be betterarked so that folks aren't walking through campsites to get to the beach. There is a nice path going from across from the bathrooms that doesn't pass through any campsites, but there is no signage to indicate it to people as the preferred crossing. I suggest you add a sign.

I loved this campground. Right on the beach. ORV ramps for beach driving nearby. Sites are nice and flat for tents. Bathrooms were clean. If you begged me to complain about something, there is not hot water for showers. That’s it. I will definitely stay here again with a huge smile on my face.

Ocracoke campground is fantastic! The beach is beautiful and the campsites are nice. We went in April and had the beach practically to ourselves. I would recommend spending at least 2 nights.

Incredible location, especially dune-side campsites. We were there during some pavement improvements which involved many loud trucks and a disruption to the flow of one-way traffic through the campsite, but all-in-all I'm glad this campsite is being improved upon and taken care of. I will most definitely be back. Hopefully the showers will be less freezing cold, Ha Ha.

Super fun experience. Bring an air mattress lol your back will thank you. If you camp on a night its raining, dont camp on beach side haha people were super nice and the view and shell picking was amazing. I loved it.
