I would give the highest rating, but rude, inconsiderate RV next to me wanted to run their generator all day and past 10:00 pm quite time. However, the wonderful campground hosts help me relocate to a better, distant, site the next morning. Other than that, the visit was great. Bathrooms were in great shape. Bugs were gone, and campground was about 80 percent empty. A wonderful visit - again, a shout out to the terrific campground host volunteers on duty that weekend.

Booking the site was slow and prone to glitching on my phone. The campground is very nice, lots of bushes to give privacy, following trail through the dunes to the beach was an adventure and a short easy hike rewarded by the beautiful beach. In late August there were a very large number of midges or gnats or whatever they are called. This campground has showers and bathrooms, but no power, water or sewer at the sites, so make sure you are prepared.

Be careful not to choose a site next to the sans dunes. I spent hours pulling burrs out od our carpets and our dog. The grass sites are well kept and much easier to use.

Awesome location, staff was very friendly. Only hiccup was that the dumping station was not open due to being full. But that didn't dampen the great time we had. Will visit again!

Beautiful beaches and campsites. Warning that the showers are only cold water so if it's cold out you will find the shower chilly.

The campground is a beautiful spot right next to the ocean. It's perfect for a late night beach walk and should make it easy on beachgoers, particularly those with out an off-road vehicle. Be very careful with dogs or kids and there are significant burrs in the area-- both sand burrs and prickly pear. Good shoes should help.

Been coming back for 4 years twice a year and love this place. Only complaint is to many mosquitoes. Park service should spray a couple times a year.

This campsite was well maintained and accessible. It was awesome to catch the rangers in the morning excavating a sea turtle nest

Beautiful!! We were at A5 the week of Mar 14, right along the dunes, a nice roomie spot with plenty of space between us and our neighbors. There were LOTS of burrs, we put out an extra matt to wipe our shoes on before climbing in our van and they were no problem. It was a short hike to the ocean everyday using the path between the A and B loops. We also rented bikes in town and rode the 3-4 miles to town and to some of the trailheads each day. The stars at night were amazing!

The Camp Hosts were friendly and helpful, especially when our car battery died. Beautiful location and good fellow campers. I still miss the gate house with a Park Ranger when you drive in. A layer of security felt like it was missing.

Fun and enjoyable camping spot. Close to the beach and with the greenway into town the town was accessible by bike.

It was beautiful and quiet. The cold showers were very refreshing on a hot day. The camp hosts and rangers were very helpful.
Definitely bring bud spray. On on breezy nights, you may get tiny biting gnats come through your screens. once you know, you can anticipate and prep accordingly. But worth it,
Would definitely camp there again.

Having been to the campgrounds many times I was happy to find an oceanside site available. Unfortunatly this stay was hampered by a less than desireable campground host. The Hosts dogs were ill tempered and roaming off leash as was their cat. It nearly jumped into our camper and continued to come and agitate our animals that were on leash as is required. Great location, wonderful beach, amazing town. Always a better stay than it was. Thankfully campsite hosts are temporary. I think.
