My rating should be poor because you took away the no generators on the D loop!!! Fortunately by chance no one has been using one near me but that could change in an instant. The campsites are too close to not have this rule!!! If not, just ban all generators in the entire campground!!!!

I've been camping at Ocracoke campground for quite some time and it never fails to disappoint! Wonderful places to explore, including the nature trail directly across from the campground, and many beaches, Ocracoke is magical!

In fairness, we did book our campsite during the long July 4th holiday weekend. That still doesn’t excuse most of the bad behavior exhibited by campers. The issues: The campground was overcrowded as many sites exceeded the maximum number of people stated for campsites. Many dog owners exercised little control over their pets (constant barking, dog feces left around the campground, and dogs unleashed). Trash was strewn throughout the campground. One campsite, in D Loop, regularly used a noisy gas-powered generator in a loop that prohibits generators. Quiet hours were never observed and were never enforced. Bathrooms and showers were dirty and odorous.
If these issues are not addressed and remedied, we doubt we will ever return to Ocracoke campground. That is unfortunate as the island is, overall, a beautiful seaside getaway.

Nice clean campground, and on the beach, hot water would be nice and not hard to do, some people leaving white lights on all night messed with our star watching, very bright white lights at some bathrooms shine into your camping area and you can hear generators running all night, even tho they quiet ones. Mosquitoes, Mosquitoes, Mosquitoes, over all I would stay again

We had a very nice time at Ocracoke Campground. Caught some beautiful weather for late March. Campground was clean and quiet, and of course, a wide open beautiful beach!

Excellent facility. Clean and well kept. Sites were comfortable and well kept. Beach was close and convenient. Close to town but far enough away to be very peaceful. Highly recommend.

Great experience! The camp ground was clean and quiet and peaceful. The sites are spaced out so you are not stacked up close to your camp neighbors. We hope to return to Ocracoke and plan to stay at this campground again!

Very clean, beautiful, short walk over the dunes to the beach. Showers are COLD WATER only. ORV pass is a must have to drive on the beaches and worth every cent!

Great spot by the beach. Quiet. Easy bike ride into town. Need hot showers, though. Also would be nice to have park rangers around to answer questions.

This was our first time camping and first time camping with 3 dogs. We actually had a great time and would like to go back. The dogs definitely kept us busy though! The only problem with bringing dogs is there are a lot of sand spurs. Not sure if its just certain times of the year. You will definitely need bug spray at night. We had a screen room and a tent. We visited on Thanksgiving Day and Campground was less than half full. We liked it like this! If it was more crowded or camping in peak season we would probably not enjoy. But this time of year It was a lot of fun for first timers. A wonderful place to camp!

We had a great time.As it is everywhere, we are seeing more and more plastic and trash. Could you please consider placards or signage that would help educate people on the reduction of trash and plastic. Leave no trace ethics overall would be great. A lot of people just don't know that they can make big impacts by using reusable plates, utensils, etc.. I know you are aware and it is a big thing to overcome, but I feel education and leading by example is the best hope. Please help protect our lands and teach proper use and respect. Thanks!
