Ocracoke is spacious, breezy, and has simple amenities that make the camping experience comfortable but also not too fancy. I really enjoy staying at this campsite year over year.

Traveled solo and felt safe, which is very important. Easy to book, easy to find, great camp sites with room between sites. Clean bathroom, grounds were kept up, no trash laying around and with the wind there, I was surprised. Beach access was great but in between the dunes from parking lot area to the water, you better wear shoes (sandals were not good, wished I had sneakers !! ) because on a 100* day that sand was unforgiving !!!! Your camping near the beach so be expecting wind even with the dunes there. It did calm down at night surprisingly and I was glad to have a rechargeable battery fan because that was a hot day and night.Only stayed 1 night but look forward to my next stay.Make sure you're you know the ferry schedule and always be there on time...I almost didn't get on the last ferry. I was 5min late and I thought my spot was reserved no matter when I arrived because I had already paid for my ticket, (as long as I got there before it left)... but that is not the case especially during busy season/holidays. Thankfully they let me on right at the end of loading.
Excellent

Great say. Large sites. We visited off-season (mid-november) and very few campers. 40' MH took entire pad, so had to leave car in visitor lot. Easy walk each day to the beach. Will be back.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
