Place is great!! Just the bathrooms and shower houses need lots of improvement

Only campsite without a table in the entire campground.

Rectangular open field campground with a perimeter road having sites on either side and cross roads also having sites on both sides. Sites are paved and fairly level with a grill and picnic table. There is grass for ground cover (well kept) but no vegetation for privacy and most sites are fairly close together although with more separation than found at the commercial campgrounds in the area. Rest rooms were relatively clean even though this was 4th of July week. The biggest plus for this campground is LOCATION - the ocean is a short walk over the dunes. Its not visible from any campsite but the surf is easily heard for night time white noise.

If you have a four wheel drive vehicle, consider purchasing a beach driving permit. This will allow you to find a less crowded spot for kicking back on the shore. Also, if you have smaller kids, a permit will allow you to drive to one of the several sound side access points where the water is shallow and calm.
