We were in Loop D, in late January...it was awesome, only 4 other campers, the bathhouse was heated and clean, the beach was fantastic....nobody for miles! And town is only 3 miles, so good food options still in the winter season. We will be back!

We love Ocracoke Island for the shore fishing and great restaurants. The beach goes on forever, and it is a blast to be able to drive your vehicle to a secluded area for the day. The camping is a little challenging. Intense sun, no shade, mosquitoes, cold showers. The campsites are small and offer little privacy. The bathrooms are very busy. If you want to go CAMPING, you will have a much better CAMPING experience elsewhere... but if you want to visit Ocracoke Island, this campground is an affordable way to go... and you can wake up each morning, take a short hike over a sand dune, and there it is, the ocean!

If you are prepared for mosquitoes, sand fleas, sand spurs and wind, then you will have a wonderful time, like we did. Amazing night sky views, pristine wide open beaches, and a well kept campground. And surprisingly quiet for a popular campground.

Second time at Ocracoke Campground. First time camping in our truck camper. We really had a good time. Friendly and helpful host. We love this campground. Very quiet and right over the dunes is the beautiful beach.
Best part is viewing the stars at night.
Oh yeah, and I saw a pirate on the dunes. Lol! Pirate Festival that weekend.

Real good experience camping here. Campground was clean and well kept. Bathrooms were clean. Beautiful beach! Plan ahead, takes a while to get to the island. Had to wait for Ferry for almost an hour and then about an hour trip over to ocracoke. Only gripe, is the picnic table needed repair, seat wasn't bolted on....

We had a fabulous time at your campground. The beach was right there and the bathrooms were kept clean.

What an amazing campsite. Spacious and secluded sites with a short walk up and over the dunes to the ocean. Great surfing!
