Solid! We love this place! Heaven on earth!

A beautiful campground with easy access to the beach. Due to the topography, few of the sites are level once you are off the paved pad. This is difficult for tent campers and the campground appears to be populated more by RVs or van campers. The cold water is not freezing cold, however, the lack of lights in the showers is a big issue for those who want to shower off after dark after a full day of beach activities. My site was really infested with ticks and good bug spray is a must, no matter what time of day. Also, the rain washed the sand at my site towards the paved pad, leaving my tent surrounded by trash (bottle caps, cigarette butts, etc.) that had been hidden by the sand. I would stay at Frisco again, but I would be more likely to come in a camper as I didn't feel the place was especially friendly to tent campers.

Everything about the campground is great except for the ticks. I won't return unless something can be done to control the ticks. I removed more than 75 small ticks from myself over the three night stay. This was while tent camping at Frisco campground site P056.

Frisco campground is a wonderful place to enjoy camping near the shore. Our family does an annual Fathers Day long weekend here. Which we just completed. The weather here this time of year is perfect for basic non hookup camping. Days are usually cool enough that none of the children complain about the heat. The nights are comfortable and filled with starry skies. The ocean temperatures are a little chilly but easy to get used to. The local area around the campgrounds have plenty of places to eat and shop as well.

Lovely campground. Most sites very private with the sounds of the ocean at night.

I followed the suggestion in another review to book a P site and was not disappointed! They just seen to be a little more private and pretty. Bathrooms were clean, it was quiet, so easy to get to the beach.

The campground is lovely with a variety of campsites to please just about anyone. Some are sunny and some are shady. There are sites to accommodate RVs or tents and anything in between. There are no electrical sites but that is not a concern for me. The restrooms are neat and well kept as are the showers. Just FYI: As far as I know there are only cold showers and no lights in the shower houses. The beaches nearby and further afield are just outstanding and I didn't even try to tear myself away from them. I love how things are kept accessible while still maintaining the natural beauty. I had little interaction with the staff but what little I did have was very friendly and upbeat. I enjoyed visits to some of the lighthouses in the area and a restaurant or two for lunch. The nights were very dark making star gazing a peaceful end to each day. It is a long drive from where I live but I have no doubt that I will be returning over and over again.

Absolutely excellent! They have plenty of amenities and beach access right at the entrance. 1 star deducted only for bugs. Bring lots of bug spray and candles and you'll be golden!

The facilities could have been kept cleaner, especially the showers. We usually camp in early spring and early fall when there are less campers. Why, do people who camp in the summer months have to be slobs and disrespect nature.

I found my perfect vacation spot at Frisco and the perfect time to go, which is the second week of May. Perfect weather and no crowds. The sites are large and accommodating. The shower houses and bathrooms were clean. The walk to the beach was a delightful boardwalk through the Marsh. One afternoon I accidentally left the keys in my ignition and ran the battery down in my van and the two park rangers jumped the van and were super nice about helping me so I didn't have to wait over an hour for someone from AAA to come. I was so grateful. I will definitely go back to Frisco. And I'll remember to take my keys with me when I nap in my tent.

This is a great, simple campground in a great location. Facilities were clean and accessible, the host was warm, friendly, and helpful, and there is very convenient access to beaches (both by the boardwalk and within a short drive). There is also a convenience store right at the turnoff to the campground, which was convenient. I recommend getting a campsite on top of the P loop slightly towards the entrance. I had site 56, and it was private (no beach view), which I appreciated. The campsites a few numbers higher had great views of the beach (but less privacy).Based on some of the comments I read here before my trip, I was expecting sand burrs and cactuses everywhere. I even took a shovel and rake to clear the campsite if needed. That was absolutely unnecessary. My dog did get a sand burr in her foot when she darted off into the woods. But the areas around the campsites were all fine.
