many sand spurs, campsites in poor shape. bath house well kept, cold water showers. roads tight to maneuver a 40ftmotorhome.

We love our camp site in the P section. We could hear the ocean at night from our tent. The bathrooms and showers were always clean and in good service. The only thing there was no cell service from our camp site. I didn't care I just put my phone away but others in my party had an issue especially when I told them to enjoy and not worry about their phones.

We had a really nice time at this campsite. You can hear the ocean and crickets at night. We went in late November and there weren't many mosquitoes at all. There were some ticks though, but that's to be expected. We were really happy to have showers, even though the water is cold, so be prepared for that as well!This campground is in a great location, a quick walk up to the beach, and quick driving distance into Buxton, and to the ferry for Ocracoke.

We had a great site on the Outer loop and could hear the ocean at night. The bath house and rest rooms were extremely clean and yes I would stay there again

There was no enforcement of the park rules.Most dogs were not on a leash. This one thing can make for an awful experience for all guest involved. There needs to be more rangers present to make sure people are doing the right things.

Nice wooded campground near the beach. Our campsite had trees and we pitched our tent in the shade. It was about a quarter mile to the ocean. we enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful and natural setting in walking distance from the ocean. Would have liked even better if the showers were warm, if there was a closer dump station and a fish cleaning station. Note for pet owners: the grass has a lot of burrs or sand spurs. We carried our dog to the woods so he could walk on pine needles instead. We would definitely go back again. There is no beach any more beautiful. A very peaceful setting. We also enjoyed riding our bicycles in the campground. The restrooms and entire campground are kept very clean and neat.

I had a very enjoyable 3 nights at this campground. Spots are more private than anticipated - carved into the brush, so there's a bit of separation between most of them. I was on the ocean side, but it's still a 5+ minute walk by boardwalk and then a path over the sand dune, although I could hear the ocean from my tent. The far other side is higher on a hill, and a few spots on that side have ocean views. Bathrooms were clean, with flush toilets :). Showers (4 stalls) adequate, but the water in early April was cold enough to hurt! I didn't appreciate just how far Frisco is from Nags Head (50 miles!), but I made an impromptu trip to Ocracoke on the free car ferry because I was so close, so that was a bonus. All in all, peaceful, quiet, an amazing dark sky (the stars! Amazing.) and an overall relaxing trip.

Great campground! Even though there are loots of sites and people around, our site still felt private and had lots of space. We had plenty of room for two tents/4 people. There was a nice boardwalk to the beach and the bathrooms were adequate. Definitely will come back!
