Best place to camp in NC by far. Love staying in Frisco when we go surf fishing. Facilities were clean and campground was quiet this time of year.

This is a beautiful campground. We were surprised at the lack of wind. We were also asked not to use our generator, which we were also surprised by. Perhaps a generator loop would be a good solution for tent campers as well as RV campers.

No issues with a twenty-three foot travel trailer. Close to beach access.

It wasn't far to the beach. The camping spot was great. Lots to do in the area!

My friend and I stayed in a tent for two nights and we had a great experience! We were surrounded by bushes and trees, which helped keep us in the shade. We were within short walking distance from the bathroom and showers. Though I did not use the shower, I can say the bathrooms were very clean! There were other campers nearby as well (both tent and RVs), and we were all respectful of each other. From our camp, you could hear the ocean which was pretty cool! They had a few walk ways that led straight to the beach. I would recommend also checking out the beach by Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, which is nearby. I read about the spurs before coming to the campground and can tell you they ARE super annoying. Honestly, whether you're in a tent or an RV, they'd still find a way to attach to your clothes - I found a couple on my socks when I got home. I'd suggest wearing shoes the entire time you're outside your camping area and maybe not bringing your pet so they don't accidentally step on them. Other than the spurs, we had a great experience and would definitely camp there again! There are many campgrounds on the Outer Banks, and we're happy with the one we chose.
