Campground with plenty of space between sites, some more secluded than others. Shrubs and low trees offer some shade and breaks from the wind. Beautiful beaches but bike riding very difficult if not impossible, even with large tires. Road biking okay with some shoulders either 5 miles south to ferry or 7 miles North to Buxton.

The sand spurs were out of control. My dog suffered several and multiple incidents causing us to have to leave after one night. Pease let people know on the web site.

Lovely campground with great beach access. The bathrooms and showers are very nice and extremely well kept for a campsite. I car camped so I didn't need to pitch a tent, but most tents are in direct sunlight unless you can fit your tent under the shrubs at your site (some people were able to). Sites were spread out pretty nicely - enough so you could have privacy, but not enough that you feel alone. Definitely lots of flying critters so bring bug spray, I also saw a snake so just be careful for those too. Also lots of prickly burrs in the ground so watch where you step and keep an eye on your pets' paws. No cell service at camp. Fairly wheelchair accessible. Where I stayed there was a hill down to the bathrooms/showers, it wasn't too steep but it might not be the easiest in a wheelchair. The showers where I was (loop A) also seemed a little small for a wheelchair, but I didn't get a good look at all of the showers. Overall a very nice campground.

The presence of many ticks, made for a stressful time at our campsite. There were no other campsites available. Since we had a group of friends camping in the same area, we decided to stay on our site. I got several tick bites. There was no place, during my campsite ordering process, to use my America the Beautiful lifetime pass, to receive 50% off of the price of our campsite charge. We realized the discount, upon reading it on an entrance sign to the campground.Afterwards, I contacted recreation.gov, who sent my request for a 50% refund to the Frisco campground. I attempted calling the campground several times, with no-one answering. Very frustrating! I hope the Frisco Campground will email me, so we can finally receive our America the Beautiful lifetime pass discount refund.

If Oregon Inlet can have hot showers why doesn't Frisco and Ocracoke? All Nation parks are great, but cold showers are not good. Need to have hot showers!!!

This was my third or fourth trip to the Frisco Campground. Its a long drive from home, but getting to Hatteras Island over the Bonner Bridge makes it well worth it. I love the relaxing drive between the dunes, and slowing down through the towns. The campground itself at Frisco Beach is well maintained, the bathrooms are kept clean and are fairly easily accessible. My campsite was well within walking distance. The weekend I spent there was in the low 90s during the day, and breezy and cooler at night.

Our campsite was quiet and perfect for our tent. The cold shower was clean and not really that cold.

Great location, clean facilities. Lots of rolling dunes so the sites are not always level for tent camping. The beach is a decent hike in comparison to ocracoke campground. The ORV ramp is right next to the entrance.
