Area was as described online. Everything was clean. Spaces for camping nicely laid out. Would definitely stay again

This was an excellent camp spot. Level ground with shade, brush between campsites for privacy. Little bit of a walk to the bathroom / shower and beach. Nice quiet campground and clean.

Lots of shade at our site, and don’t take an RV on the beach. DOH!

Great spot for fairly primitive camping. Our spot had part shade and part sun, which was helpful when we wanted to lounge but also to solar charge our power banks. Surprisingly, there's few mosquitos and the star-gazing is amazing. It's also a place where the turtles are nesting, which is crazy considering all the public on the beach!
My only gripe about this campground is that there doesn't seem to be any limit to daytime use of generators. They're going aaaaaall day long and well into the night. Our neighbor shut off the generator after 11 and had it started up again around 7am. That got old. That lost a review-star for me.
Otherwise, the bathrooms are clean, the cold showers were cold but not frigid, and the location can't be beat. The convenience store is close-by, restaurants are minutes away, the airport is super-cool, the passenger ferry to Ocracoke is easy, and if you're interested in renting kayaks, Salvo was about a 40 minute drive away.
Easy walk to the beach. Do not plan to take your bike on any trails. We found out the hard way that trails run out to sand, and roads aren't really roads. (Also, the cacti WILL puncture your tires.)
Another review complained about all the vehicles on the beach. While it IS a solid line of trucks all day long, the people are nice and there's plenty of beach to go around. We didn't have any issues.
Frisco is a great location. I'd highly recommend it.
