Special location but not much else. Would have stayed longer if it had electric sites

Some sites not even close to level

The beach was the only good thing about the camp site/
Site was overgrown with sand spurs. You could not get in or out with out stepping in them. Our dog was miserable the whole time. She would not even walk on the road with out stepping in them, and forget about the walking trails.
Our site was so steep that the front wheels were off the ground about a foot.
We left three days early.
Will not be back to that park

Beautiful location, loved the boardwalk to the beach. The only downside was having to listen to generators.

The look and feel of the campground was great. There was a nice walkway to the beach for easy access. We camped here with our 34' 5th wheel. We did enjoy our stay, however I can only give a 3 star rating because the site was VERY unlevel, there wasn't enough space to park our truck on the site even though we picked a spot that should have been, the showers at the bath house were cold which was fine for us because we could use the shower in our RV but I would not have been happy if I were tent camping, and there was zero space for us to hang in the camp site. It was so uneven and there were sand dunes all around our site that there wasn't even a place to put down our outdoor mat to sit in our chairs to relax outside the RV. A mat is 100% required as there are cactus all over the ground that kept getting imbedded in our shoes and brought into the RV. I would never take a dog here as the cactus would get stuck in their paws. We made the best of it and still enjoyed our stay, but those things did put a damper on the trip.
