This would be a five star location if you are staying outside of peak summer months. The sleeping pad location is nestled in a beautiful tree canopy providing much needed shade and privacy from your neighbors. Given that we were staying on a 85+ degree night, we found the camping area too protected and we werent able to receive any of the ocean breeze making the area static at night. We slept on the parking pad to ensure we had enough airflow to sleep. There is a beautiful view from the picnic table and its not too far from multiple well maintained bathrooms.

Closed to to the beach. Most camp sites are pretty private we had P62 which was great .

I had an absolute wonderful time calling at Frisco. The site was very nice and well maintained and even had my own picnic area in the wooded area that was accessed by a private path from my site. I also enjoyed the boardwalk to the beach. Other campers were quiet and respectful. The view of the ocean was also very nice. There was a breeze that felt nice when sleeping as well. I will definitely come back to Frisco Campground.

Beautiful campground close to beach. Sites are spaced well but alot are treeless and the site itself small. But then alot are great sites. Wish the showers were not cold. We will return!

Our campsite had a large area with good tree cover and shade for our tent and a canopy. There were two good locations for hammocks as well. There is a site directly across from this one, and if you dont know them, you might want to be willing to make friends. The cons are the long walk to the beach and no hydrant for water anywhere close. The only hydrants we could find were at the restrooms. Good access to ORV ramp. There is no dump station, but there is one about 15-20 minutes away at the Hatteras light you can use for free. Cant build a fire at the campsite, but you can get a free permit to build one on the beach. There is a grill right on the edge of the parking spot for the campsite, but it was too close to our vehicle for comfort. Overall, great experience!

Great shaded campsite, close to bath house. It was perfect for hammocks, but the mosquitos were bad.
