The campground at Frisco is unique in that it has enough brush to provide privacy and/or shade (depending on campsite.) Bathrooms and showers are conveniently located and clean. And, beach access is right there.

This is a great campground and in November it is real quiet, just as we like it. Nice private site, the rangers where very helpful and the beach was an easy walk. We'll be back!

The campground was very nice with easy to reach facilities and beach access. My only issue was in the description of the camp sites. We ended up at a site that said it was for camping, but there was no spot for a tent. This was not addressed on the website. We ended up setting up on the asphalt pad ment for parking. Unfortunately a huge storm blew through during the night, and since we were unable to stake our tent out the wind took a toll on our equipment, and the water came up through the bottom of the tent, since we were in the asphalt. We packed up and left the next morning even though we booked for two nights because all of our gear was soaked.

I have camped all over the country and this remains one of my favorite campgrounds. The simplicity, cleanliness of facilities, and of course the views/access to the beach are top notch. I have not stayed in peak times where it could feel crowded, however on the side seasons it is perfection.

Overall a good stay. I would suggest that the hours be posted at the check in hut on when it will be manned. Post it somewhere you can easily see it when you hit that Stop Sign at the check in hut. When i was checking out I went by I believe F7 which is shielded by trees. You pull in to a small trail to get to the site. Would recommend that a couple of branches that have overgrown the "open" tent area be cut back, Also the trail to walk into the site is pretty small with the growth of the bushes.

We loved this campground! Nice rolling hills, peaks of the ocean and ability to walk to the beach made this the best NP camping in the Outer Banks.
