We thought The National Park CG at Frisco was very nice. The close proximity of the drivable beach to the CG is great. The bathrooms and shower house were well kept. I do feel that with the advent of power banks and solar power, gas generators should be more limited or restricted in these primitive campgrounds. Also in this CG there is a sign at the entrance that states "Registered Campers Only". Unfortunately locals use this CG as a walking path and the local HS even uses it to train for crocs country running. This disturbs the solitude of the CG and the sign at the entrance should be enforced. Campers are paying to use the CG and shouldn't be bothered by random people walking, running, or driving through. Just common sense.

Great location and facilities staff was very nice and helpful. The only concern or recommendation for the site is that there is very limited space for tent camping.

Nice place very quiet not many people but far from the beach, then the beach is a row of trucks as far as the eye can see.thats not the fault of the campground obviously. I spent my days on Ocracoke.

Very nice campground. Spacious sites with trees and privacy. Very quiet with no road noise. A longer walk to the beach, but worth it.

Incredible location just minutes from Hatteras and the ferry to Ocracoke. Beautiful area plenty of space between campsites and an incredible beach.

We enjoyed staying in the dunes and I would stay at this site again, but I would be very careful about the space I picked. We were lucky to be able to make a tent work with 2 vehicles in our spot. There was very little space for the tent and we actually had to move the picnic table to make room. I looked at some of the other sites and there were a couple where the tent camping spots were literally on a steep hill. We had a downpour that night and I imagine those folks got soaked with the angle of their tents. This site seems to be hit or miss depending on your luck on picking a good tent camping spot. I did not look at the powered sites so I have no feedback on those. There were also a few camp sites where there was no way you could fit 2 vehicles in it. Look at the sites closely before choosing.

Really liked the secluded camp sites. Another thing that we liked was the board walk taking us directly to the beach! The only reason I didn't rate it Excellent was because our site had cigarette butts all over it and neither of us smoke. It was sad to think that someone could leave a site without picking up their trash. We would definitely go here again!!

Couldnt enjoy ourselves very well because of the terrible amount of stickies/burs and small cactus all over. We have two dogs and had to sweep a pathway on the driveway just to avoid their paws and our feet getting pricked. We ended up leaving a day early because of this. Its unfortunate because everything else was a perfect setup for our needs - very private and beautiful setting.
