Frisco campground is a beautiful spot. I love that there are campsites with some privacy - a rare thing at the beach!

Come there every year around the beginning of May. Love to hear the ocean at night and to see the stars so clear and bright. Hatteras Island still holds great charm after 40 years!

Just the most natural and relaxation camping experience. Very quite and deep in the natural dunes.

I love that place, it magical, the night frog in the shower, the biutifull beach, the good maintenance, the site, the tree, the security, everything was so perfect, it on my list about best place to camp in the world.

Very nice camp ground. Each camp site is nice and has bushes around them for privacy. You can walk or drive to the beach. Nice bathrooms and showers. Will definitely be returning!!

Love this campground with the trees that provide privacy and some shade. Only issue we had in early June was ticks. I would recommend some Off for bugs, but that’s just part of the great outdoors. When I came in November, bugs weren’t bad at all. This campsite had a great tent area, big enough for a couple of 4-man tents and one hammock. Might could find something for a second hammock, but may have to get creative. Only hydrants are at the bathhouses, so our site was close enough to haul water by hand, but too far to stretch a hose.

Many sites provide some shelter from the wind; easy access to beach via boardwalks.

Boardwalks were flooded as a result of recent rain, beware of the snakes when crossing. Dont leave home without your insect repellent and battery operated fan. Beach was packed with trucks not practicing social distancing. Best to take early morning ferry to enjoy a truck/people free beach. Will return in the spring and fall, never again Jun-Aug. Great park rangers and clean facilities.
