Beautiful campground with well-spaced sites that let you enjoy the environment. The facilities are well kept: clean bathrooms and showers, no trash around the grounds. Our site had a little sheltered spot in the woods for tents, which was perfect. My only quibble would be the lack of hot running water, which is fine in the summer but a little uncomfortable in cool weather.

Stayed and camped for 2 nights. The campsites were perfect. We stayed in p50. Covered by trees which was nice because it rained the first night. My friends shared p48 where we were able to go back and forth very efficiently. They had a lot of room, enough for a huge 12 person tent for the two of them and lots of room to grill out with guests. The walk on the dunes during the sunset was amazing. We were very close to the bath houses, 5 minute walk. Overall a great experience. The rangers were all very friendly and felt very safe.

Had a nice tent area just in the woods on an outside loop. Really nice place.

I've camped at this campground in the past and have had a lovely experience. I don't mind the lack of electricity or water available at the campsite- it allows for a very authentic camping experience; however, I wish there had been a warning or a disclaimer regarding precipitation and the potential for flooding. My girlfriends and I went this past weekend (6/12/20) and had plans of camping for two nights. We were prepared for rain, as it was forecasted, and we prepared the best we could. What we were not prepared for was the MASSIVE amounts of FLOODING we experienced. Rain started around 9-ish pm and continued on throughout the evening, which would have been fine, except for within an hour there was several inches of water on the ground. We were unable to sleep in our tents and ended up sleeping in our vehicles. EVERYTHING at ground level was underwater by the time we woke up. There was water above my ankles and packing up was a nightmare. I would have thought that the water may have receded by morning, but that was not the case. I'd guess there was about 6-8 inches of stagnant water. Now, bad weather is no one's fault and I certainly cannot blame the Parks and Rec for this; however, it would be wise, and courteous if nothing else, to provide a disclaimer that the ENTIRE campground floods with any moderate to severe precipitation. It was not just our Loop (E) or the others surrounding us- it was the entire campground. HERE IS YOUR WARNING- if they are calling for any rain in the forecast- choose a campground with higher ground because you will be flooded and you will be miserable.
