Campground hosts Jeff and wife were great as was ranger Sam. Trail in Salt was difficult due to flood.

This was one of the most fun and beautiful campgrounds we have been to. It is super quiet, but the views are stunning. There were deer that hung out near the site and we had a blast playing in the rocks. My only complaint was that it was far from the bathrooms. Otherwise, we will absolutely stay here again.

The location was spectacular, a very short drive after hiking all day in the Needles District. I loved how quiet it was, and the site was perfect.

Wonderful campsite, right under the beautiful rocks.

Campground is overall very nice & the filtered drinking water & service sink are much appreciated extras! Some camp sites are way too far from bathroom. Protecting dark skies is a plausible goal but having no lights in bathroom is not practical. Given it's popularity and remote location, all sites should be reservable & number of sites should be expanded.

What makes this place special is dark sky and it being so quiet. It is hard to realize how much noise we are subjected at any hour of the day until you are somewhere so quiet you could hear a whisper a mile away. I hope it doesn't become like so many other national parks

This is a great cempground. Mostly spread out, remote in the Needles district, and at the trailhead for great hikes. The bathroom in B Loop is great - seems a new, packed earth building with dish washing and water station. The campsites are SUPER variable. The campsites that show up as close to eachother, like a Y driveway off the main loop, are VERY close to each other. There are a couple of them.

We stayed in 19. It is on its own next to a mushroom rock. There are three different tent pads you can choose from depending on view and wind direction. We had sideways hail and 55 mph winds in late March. It was tough and as much as I love site 19, it was exposed to the wind. I thought the best sites were 20 (best), 21 (close to 20 though), 22, and 27 (though you have the trailhead going right by your camp here, little privacy). 24-26 I would want to know who is next to me. 18 seemed little more than a turnout, not good for a campervan or pull behind, maybe kinda passable for a tent. 18 is right on the road.

A loop is first come first served and has some great sites.

Site 19 is spectacular. Plenty of options for where to put your tent and two little caves to hide in from the storms! Be mindful this is a canyon and you ECHO so be QUIET!

Huge campsite under the shelter of a giant rock. Beautiful scenery. Super quiet. It's very spread out, so the bathroom was a bit of a walk - could use one more pit toilet or porta-potty.

The camp host was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. He was able to recommend best things to do near the area. He also wrote our name in the camp post indicating that it was reserved for us.
