For those who travel to the remote Needles District, a feast of sights abound. The trail system in this region is a blast to explore. The campground provides easy access to Elephant Hill and the trails to Chesler Park and Druid Arch, as well as the scenic drive, but be prepared for a workout and cairn guidance and route finding. Definitely worth the effort!

Calm and shaded, perfect for the night and to avoid being in direct sunlight when you wake up.

The Needles campsite was quite remote by comparison to the Island in the Sky portion of the park, but we were able to appreciate the dark sky initiative and the quiet of our surroundings more in this more secluded portion of the park. There were fun stone outcroppings for the children to play on and the bathroom was clean and well-stocked. There were water-filling stations at the bathroom area. We hiked the Cave Springs trail with our young family (12, 7, 4, 2), and they did well. While on the trail, we saw two young owls settling down for a nap, and it was definitely a memorable experience!

Beautiful campground! The sites were large and private. The bathrooms were well-stocked and there was drinking water. A great hiking trail took off directly from the campground.

This is a beautiful campground in a beautiful National Park. The sites are spacious and you have ample space between neighboring sites. It is so quiet here and you can get to many trails quite easily. This is one of our favorite campgrounds.

Great campsite. Provides amazing sunsets if you get on top of the adjacent rock formation. If you can secure a campsite, you wont regret camping here.

It was beautiful and peaceful here. I camped at B20 which was great - it had a far-off view of the mountains, easily accessible (very clean) bathroom, and was quiet. The trails were fun and beautiful and the scenic drive was gorgeous. Rangers were nice and informative. Definitely would stay here again

The camp host was extremely helpful to us. I believe her name was Joanna. The friend I was camping with had an accident while hiking. She helped us with his injuries and gave us directions to Moab hospital. It was obvious from her interactions with us and the other campers that she is extremely professional and helpful. You couldn't have a better person in her job.

The camp site very beautiful, quiet, and well maintained.

Great campgrounds. Well maintained, remote, not too busy. Several trails close by, highly recommend the Lost Canyon trail. Stargazing is amazing! Water available but bring in your firewood, we didnt see wood for sale anywhere in the needles district and closest town is 40 min drive one way.

Amazing scenery. A lot of the hikes might be on the longer side for many people (10+ miles), so be prepared. Campsite was perfect.

We loved our stay at canyonlands. The camp host was very friendly and helpful. The facilities were very clean and the site was very well taken care of. Loved the night sky presentation by the rangers at the auditorium. Thanks for making our stay wonderful. PS, we loved canyonlands about ten times more than arches. And site 21 was awesome

Amazing remote and small campground that provides a lot of privacy in the small loop section that has only 3 campsites. Our campsite was one of the best we've ever had for tent camping. The vault toilet in the loop section is kept the cleanest ever. Lots of nearby hiking trails with spectacular scenery. Can watch sunrise and sunsets from the meadow trail between campgrounds A and B. When the wind stops blowing it's perfectly quiet way out here.

Wonderful campground with sites nestled up against the rock formations and a variety of excellent hiking loops starting and ending right at the campground.Campground facilities were in good condition and very clean. Maintenance staff at this park keep the facilities well serviced and seem to take pride in their work.

the tent site was very spacious and well laid out. I look forward to staying there again. It was a surprisingly long and curcuitous path between the Loop B and Loop A trailheads.

We were lucky to be in site 21 which is on a spur road with only three sites. Ours was up against a large boulder formation and with an open field for stargazing to the NE. Very quiet. My only request is that the tent pads be enlarged. Our six person tent did not fit so we had to set it up on the sand--not so bad--but in the rain it may be.
