Great environment with the lake to enjoy. Due to the large volume of campsites being used, Restrooms should be inspected and cleaned more often.

We had several campsites booked for our group, Several days before arrival, I received an email of cancellation of one of our reserved campsite without explanation. Once on site we were told of unsafe condition at campsite #32. No offer to rebook another site- welcome to the age of computer Bots! BEWARE -Puncture vine stickers throughout the campground.

The campground was clean and there was plenty of space between sites. I was dissapointed that the showers and regular restrooms were all closed. They did have chemical restrooms available.

As far as campgrounds go it was average. The things I liked were the spaces were large and clean. Town was not far and the drive to the river to play was short. What I didn't like was the overload of bugs in the bathroom. I've been to much more rustic and open campgrounds, I've showered with frogs and spiders- No big deal. But for whatever reason, no matter how often the bathrooms were cleaned, there was a bunch of maggots and worms on the floor. That and the heat of the bathrooms, made for very uncomfortable situations. The Ranger was a bit frustrating, There were numerous sites with more than 2 cars, and for some reason, I kept getting talked to... My family rented 10 sites all together and with some older family members walking was difficult in the heat, but apparently the parking police couldn't let it go. So everytime my aunty wanted to visit, she had to get dropped off, if she needed the restroom, someone had to walk back to thier car to take her. It was rather inconvenient. Yes of keys and drivers for other cars were closer, that would work, but just seems silly that if the cars fit in the parking space and are not blocking the road, the rangers would have better things to do.. like manage the drunks fighting about kids games that got out of hand.. I enjoyed the family time, but the grounds themselves were not my favorite.
