I just needed a small getaway from the city to recharge in nature and this was the perfect little spot. I think the only bummer is that it is right next to the highway so there was the sound of cars occasionally. I also didn't know the lake was completely dried up at these sites so you have to drive down a bit to get to Kaweah Lake. However, it was a cute spot, there weren't many other campers (which I liked because I wanted to feel alone haha), and the camp host was very friendly and helpful. Three Rivers is super close so that's a fun place to visit and Visalia is really close, which is where some of my family lives. There was wood all over the place so you don't have to worry about buying firewood. The bathrooms are a bit of a walk and one of them was out of service so it was even more of a walk for people on the other side of the campground, but I enjoyed the walks personally. There is also no hot water as far as I'm aware, so cold showers! The stars at night were beautiful. Spot #30 was mine and I absolutely loved it. It had a tree on it and I really wanted that haha

Beautiful place! Felt safe. The ranger let us use any cut down wood around us for the campfire. Will definitely visit again.

When we arrived we were initially afraid that the campground was closed. After the flooding in spring there was still a lot of driftwood lying around. But we were greeted very friendly by the campsite warden as the only guests on the first night. Since we have been here three times in September in recent years, we knew that it is usually quite empty on weekdays. Our campsite had already been cleared and the remaining bits and pieces were quickly cleared away and the grass was mown so that we could set up our tent. The sanitary rooms were also cleaned so that we could use the showers, although they had cold water. Because there was a lot of wood lying around, we were always able to feed our campfire well on both nights. There were two certainly unforgettable stays (in a positive sense) at this campground.

What a beautiful campsite we had at site #30. We were almost the only people in the campground due to the weather. It had been raining but the sun was shinning for us. The head Ranger, Ryan, was extremely helpful to us. The camp host/worker was very nice as well. We will be back!

It was a nice campsite had a big cottonwood tree nice table fire pit course in California is beginning to get a little warm so if you don't have an AC best to stay out of the area during the summer months the lake was a little low but had a great great View very comfortable very close to Three Rivers Kings Canyon National Park Sequoia xcetera nice nice visit
