Poor conditions imaginable. Not even staffed with drinking glasses. Never again!

Despite the federal incoherence led by the presidential shutdown, the campground and experience went off well.

Meeks Bay is a restful retreat. I doubt you could be any closer to Lake Tahoe.

We stayed here for 2 nights in the tent section. This is an overcrowded noisy unpleasant campground with no space/privacy between campsites designed for urban cityfolk that wouldn't know any better. Each campsite is crammed into the next so you are on top of each other (more like one giant campsite you are sharing). The campground is situated right next to the busy main road around Lake Tahoe so your tent shakes with the loud noise of every passing vehicle. The rules regarding noise after 10pm are not enforced so it is loud & uncomfortable long into the night. The rules pertaining to max amount of campers per site is also not enforced, there were over 20 people at campsites on either side of us. All rules pertaining to normal campground etiquette & common sense are ignored at this site. Campsites were not posted with reservation information and the camp hosts ran out of firewood to provide. Camp hosts were non existent to enforce or engage with any guests. The only positive is that you can walk to the lake but you would be better suited to stay at proper campground and drive to a day use lake lot. Not being familiar with camping in this area of the Sierra & also due to lack of avail we made the mistake of camping here. If you are a true outdoorsman and nature lover looking for some peace and tranquility in nature I would recommend avoiding this campsite.

Sites are too closed to one another. The noise from car passing is loud especially at night.

We love the location for family! The prices are too far beyond reasonable for the accommodations, but we try to look beyond that just to be together. * New floors help to keep the rooms clean. * Kitchens are very sparse. * Living room doesn't have side tables.* No dish pan* No kitchen workspace

We booked at loop 3 camp ground. What we didnt realized was it is right next to the street, therefore quite noisy, there are also no showers at the grounds. There is also a wood working factory close by and it was super loud starting in the morning hours. We booked 4 nights and left after the first. We reached out to retrieve our money invested and they denied the request.

What a great experience we had at this resort! Its safe, clean, and while its not the most quiet, off-beat campground, I appreciate that they have a separate tent area with no RVs so we didnt have the generator noise. The lake is right there! We walked with our paddle boards from camp to the beach. We also took advantage of the hot 4-minute shower which was heavenly! We will be back.

The campground was well maintained and provided great scenery. I have stayed multiple times and I would continue to go back. The only down side is a strict no-dogs policy. I can understand not wanting dogs in the cabins. But excluding them from the camping side is undesirable for our traveling family.

Writing this review just because the camp host was the great. I know they change every year but really hoping to see Rick again. He was constantly moving, sweeping up pine needles, picking up trash, restocking bathrooms, answering questions. He really kept the place looking good. Really hope to see him there next year!

Beautiful RV sites with full hook ups. Sites are clean and public bathrooms were cleaned and stocked up during the holiday weekend. Staff was friendly and helpful. They monitor campground several times a day. We have been coming here for over 20 years and love it here. Beaches were cleaned and store sells ice and firewood. Only complaint was there are no dogs allowed at the resort and there were a few at the beach and at the campsites.

We stayed in the Kehlet Mansion which was a wonderful experience. Very rustic but lots of fun for friends to enjoy a great week together relaxing, bike riding, hiking and swimming.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
