Im giving this review a Great due to the staff and camp ground host during the festive for the Washoe Tribe. The only downfall was the quiet time was not respected.

The camping was ok, but very noisy, and every night the campsite was visited by a bear.

Great beach and crystal blue water. Volleyball court came in handy. Bring portable shade for long sunny days. Second visit and still have things to do in Tahoe.

Great location. Amenities are upkept well. Close to the road so bring ear plugs. Its likely youll see a bear so be prepared and make sure to leave your goods in the bear box! Overall, amazing spot for some summer camping under the stars.

We recently stayed at a campsite that was just okay. Some of the sites felt a bit cramped, which was a little disappointing. We had planned to enjoy six days there, but ended up leaving early because of the lack of showers on-site. Instead, you have to trek over to the resort just to get cleaned up, and even then, its a bit of a hassle. You need to grab a token for a shower, and the hot water is pretty hit or miss.On the bright side, we did get to see a bear up close at our campsite! Theyre pretty chill as long as you dont leave food or trash lying around. The beach is within walking distance, which is a nice perk, but honestly, the shower situation made things more complicated than they needed to be. Driving to the resort just for a shower felt like too much of a hassle, and it took away from the camping vibe we were hoping for. Overall, it was an okay experience, but I think we'd look for something with better facilities next time.

It was great place. biggest issue I found was bathroom. Also, bathroom has running water, but it was not clean as one expected. some of them had broken soup dispenser. Otherwise, great place to relax and camp.

Meeks Bay first timer & we loved it. Typically camp at Richardson and loved how chill & private Meeks bay is. Beach is wide and sand is soft on one end rocky on the other. Plenty of room for campers & day use ppl. Store was equipped with snacks and drinks (alcoholic and regular), but not much camping supplies. Snack shack was great for lunch time bites- portions are huge prices are fair. Bear activity daily, bring horn or spray just incase- didnt have a direct encounter but others did. Very serene and beautiful landscape, will visit again. We are a family of four (2 kids, 3YO and 6YO).

I really enjoyed this campground! I was in spot 17, a short walk to the bathrooms and beach access. The beach was beautiful but bring water shoes! The sand is rough. It would have been great to have some showers in the tent campground but if youre able you can drive to the resort campground next door to use theirs and they do have parking spots in front for easy accesss I would definitely go back!

Very nice campground, and so quiet at night! We could walk to the beach which was really nice and the water at Meeks bay is beautiful.

Beautiful and clean campsite, with well kept bathrooms. Lovely family beach area big enough for everyone. The only downside is HIGH bear activity. BEWARE of bears coming every night, scavenging through your site. There are bear boxes, but it is up to the campers to keep things put away and cleaned up. Overall, fun family experience!

Nice campground but needs some work on the shower and restroom facilities. This is a NO PETS facility.

Although the mattress in the studio is new its very soft and not very comfortable. I would like to see bear safe doors installed on both cabins. Overall, we had a wonderful visit and hopefully be back next year.

I had a lot of fun camping for two nights at Meeks Bay. The staff was very helpful when we arrived. The restrooms were cleaned daily while we were there and I thought they were very well maintained. The campsites are extremely close to the lake, which makes days out on the water easy and fun. We did see bears, so it's a necessity to always take precautions to avoid leaving food out. There is some road noise from some sites, but I didn't find it to be an issue. Overall, my family had a great time and I'd recommend this spot for those looking for a campground on the lake.

We stayed at site 01. It was in the first loop by the entrance. It was honestly a great site. The bear box was mostly in the shade the whole day. The tent was also in the shade. We tied a line by some trees to dry our clothes which sat in the sun. Flat even surface. It was very close to the restrooms and water spigot. There are no showers on the tent camping side. You gotta walk or preferably drive next door to the RV section for the showers.

Bathrooms were very very clean. Spots were very close to neighbors but thankfully as we met some nice people and we did see a few bears. Bears didn't bother us just wanted to food. Make sure to use the bear box and put everything away when not eating. Literally cooked, ate, cleaned, and put everything away in the bear box when we were not eating or cooking. Threw trash away frequently. Host was great too. Bears seemed docile and calm and they did walk freely through the camp site. Would definitely go back. Place was beautiful and clean

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! First off, all staff leave at 5PM, if you arrive after this time you will not be able to check in. After unpacking, we noticed that the refrigerator, stove and plug outlets were not working. Tried to notify staff, but they had all left for the day and there was no phone number to call for assistance. After multiple attempts of notifying staff the next day and our food about to spoil due to not having a working refrigerator, the maintenance man came by to look at around 2PM. The staff knew that there was issues with the cabin and did not make any attempt to correct the situation. The stove is so outdated that it did not heat up enough to even cook anything.

Excellent proximity to the water and beautiful surroundings. Showers were unreliable, however. Many didn't work and when they did, you sometimes had freezing water. Also, lots of bears; so be diligent about leaving nothing out even when it is early evening and lots of people are still about.

Some parents are so irresponsible with their kids and having to remind the kids multiple times to be carefully not to hit us in the head with baseball was awkward and people crossing racross from the space (our camp site)that we rented was annoying. Other than that no complaints.

Beach and facilities were excellent! Campsites are fairly small and close together with not much foliage etc for privacy, but the setting made up for it. Main issue was the bears! I have never seen such a bad bear problem at a campground. Would probably help to have clearer signs reinforcing bear etiquette and making people aware of how bad the issue is, or a bigger ranger presence to make sure people are being responsible with food, coolers etc.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
