This campground is in the trees and doesn't get a lot of sun so everything stays wet. Stinging nettle is everywhere so wear long pants. Site 3 was right down in the middle of everything. No privacy and you hear a lot of noise from the group campgrounds. Easily accessible by several trails. Beautiful area.

I was very impressed by the upkeep of the trails, bathrooms and drinking water faucets. I saw employees working daily to keep the trails and spaces cleaned and cleared. This place gets busy on the weekends! But it's worth it.

Glen Camp is surrounded by forest and is great for birdwatching in the mornings or evenings.

Campground was relatively easy to get to and in good condition. Two miles from Wildcat camp and beach. Glen Camp provides shade while Wildcat does not. Individual campsites have good spacing from each other. Many trails in the area to explore. About 7 mile roundtrip from Glen camp to Alamere falls. Campsites are pretty compact, so recommend no more than two tents per site.

Pros - the campsite and hikes near the campsite are very green and shady. We had a pretty misty day, and the Coast Trail hike was absolutely magical. It is a doable distance from the Visitor Center and to Wildcat/Alamere Falls.Cons - it was misty then full out raining one day (odd for early September), but near the ocean this disappeared. So, I would be prepared with some light rain gear, even in the dry season. Also, this site only had space for two tents, so we had to put our 3rd near the picnic table. We had a max of six people, but the site details should also list the max number of tents. I am glad we did get site 003, because some of the other sites had even less space.

Need to maintain the trails better. The grasses were over our heads on the Baldy Tail and Sky Trail.

Great Campground. Beautiful surroundings.

It's an amazing area considering it's surrounded by urbanized land. Glen Camp is small and well appointed, but lacks sunlight in the winter. Only negative about the Glen Camp was the party in site #1 who brought their dog! The only general negative is that the NPS should develop a few more backcountry camps; there are still the same number as there were 30 years ago.

Lots of fun overnighting with my son. Im sure I'm asking for too much here but a couple more campgrounds would be cool..... there is plenty of room. Thanks

Set up your camp and head to the Coast Trail. Some of the best views in California.

We were in site 003 at Glen Camp. This site never dries even on nice sunny day with temps in the 70s. We arrived on Friday, 11/26 and found the entire site (ground, picnic table and grass around). Ground where we need to set up our tents was muddy. We were not happy to see that our tents will so dirty and have not place site except the wet picnic table while all other sites around us were nice and dry. It was awful. In the morning, we noticed that our tents fly's were soaked outside and inside with water dripping every time we get in and out of the tents. We went to hike to the Alamere Fall and hoped that our site will be dry when we come back. We noticed upon our arrived at 3:30 that our sites was the same except that our sleeping bags inside the tents were not damp. Since the day was so hot and we had to climb out from the beach, my clothes were soaked with sweat. Looking at the went tents, damp sleeping bags, I knew that my clothes will remain wet all night. I was looking at a very uncomfortable and cold night as our sites was uncomfortable cold due to the wetness in the air. My friend and I decided to hike out that evening even though we were already tired from hike to the fall and back. we threw our gear into our pack quickly (including soaking wet tents) and hiked out. We hiked the last mile with headlamps but we made it back to our cars before 6. We were able to hike out in less than 2 hours. I backpack a lot and have experienced a lot serious storms in the Sierra but this was far, hands down, one of worst experience!!! I will never again book site 003 at Glen Camp. It really sucked as I could see that person next door in site 002 was completely dry. Just few feet away would have been a difference of night and day!!

Camp grounds are a great balance of hike in only but have bathrooms and water!

I didn't bring a rain tarp for our tent and of course it rained. Remember that this area gets more rain and marine layer fog that makes it extremely damp over night.

Surprisingly isolated. Very well protected against wind, and beautiful at night when the sun goes down. Bathrooms and everything else is well maintained. Only thing I'd recommend is getting a spot where you will get more sunlight. I was in campsite No. 3, which is really nicely set apart from the other spaces but also sits in shade most of the day.

Really amazing place to camp. We did two nights, one at Glen and one at Wildcat. Wildcat was really breathtaking being right near the beach, but Glen was a good change as a secluded, woodsy site. The abundance of day hikes and viewpoints gave us plenty to do during the days, like the hike over to Alamere Falls. Great trip.

Loved staying at the Sky campground. Nice and quiet and you could hear the waves from the ocean at night.

Point Reyes is one of the most beautiful and scenic areas near main roads with mild weather and great trails. As a positive experience, we are part of a San Francisco Bay area Scout Troop, the boys age 11 to 17, always have a wonderful time. Our favorite hike is along the side of Palomarin trail head, cost, Alamere waterfalls, and Wild cat beach. the camp grounds on the cost and inland are spacious and campers are friendly. The only concern is campers need to make camp reservation six months in advance to have enough reservation availability, specially for the weekends. Also watch out for poison oak and stay on the trails.
