Wonderful, well-maintained backpacking trails. Clean bathrooms, potable water, wonderful views, and it was fun to make a campfire on the beach.

Beautiful nature, hike in camp spots, clean water & maintained toilets - what could be better?

The trail to the Coast camp is not well maintained. There is a large gap in the middle of the trail that makes it difficult to walk. Otherwise, everything was wonderful.

Just make sure for campsites 1-7 to pack something to sleep on or else you will feel rocks on the ground through the tent. Other than that, it's awesome

The site and facilities were fine. Quiet. Easy water. I dinged a star because the people who had the site the night before us were still there when we arrived at 2:30. We had to wait for them to pack up. Still a lovely trip.

Lovely spot to bike into - as long as you're ok riding over the pretty big hill to get to the trailhead. Sites 1-7 are spread out nicely, with dense scrub between each giving a very private feeling.

Great campside nestled into the coastal hills. Accessible via a longer 6-mile hike across the hills/mountains from Bear Valley or a shorter and kid-friendly hike, so choose your own adventure.

The rangers were helpful, the trails were beautiful, and the campsites were well-maintained with potable water, toilets, and trash. Highly recommend a short backpacking trip to enjoy the beautify of Pt Reyes!

The trails are well-kept, with easy to follow signage. The beach at Coast camp is one of the most spectacular, and there were even cliff flowers still in bloom in late September. I especially liked that you can't really see the other campers, even though they are not that far away.

There are probably a few other sites in the upper campground that are a little more spacious, but this site was pretty good!

We had site 2 at Coast Camp IN Point Reyes which was tucked away and with a great view! I would have been disappointed with one of the grass field sites. The campers before left a bunch of dried pasta on the ground but otherwise everything was really clean and nice.

Very relaxing campground only a few hundred yards from the beach
@TracyB1260578 · Camped on Feb 21, 2022 at Campsite #C2
The trails and the campground were well maintained. It was a short hike to the campground from the car. Perfect for reintroducing my body to the backpacking experience. The toilets were clean and the other campers were pleasant and quiet. Due to the high winds we did not try to get a permit from the docent who passed us as we hiked in. Besides, there was very little driftwood on the beach for fuel.

This place in heaven-on-earth. It was quiet, peaceful and cold. But the stars came out on a clear night and it was breathtaking to see the Milky Way without any light pollution. Thumbs up and Five Stars!

We stayed at two different campsites here at Point Reyes (Glen and Coast). Unfortunately due to the fires last year that have closed off a huge portion of the park in-between the two sites (basically from Sky to Coast) so the hike in between then is a wapping 9 miles up about 1000+ ft. This was my dads first backpacking trip so we ended up not doing the 9 miles and hiked into Glen and then back out the next day, took the car over to the hostel and hiked to Coast from there. Glen is in the trees and Coast is right off the coast. Both are beautiful and completely different. Overall it was a great experience, super cute town, awesome wildlife and some amazing trails for all levels.
