Just make sure for campsites 1-7 to pack something to sleep on or else you will feel rocks on the ground through the tent. Other than that, it's awesome

The site and facilities were fine. Quiet. Easy water. I dinged a star because the people who had the site the night before us were still there when we arrived at 2:30. We had to wait for them to pack up. Still a lovely trip.

Great campground. Easy access from trailhead. Nice to have the amenities of water and toilets.

Lovely spot to bike into - as long as you're ok riding over the pretty big hill to get to the trailhead. Sites 1-7 are spread out nicely, with dense scrub between each giving a very private feeling.

Great campside nestled into the coastal hills. Accessible via a longer 6-mile hike across the hills/mountains from Bear Valley or a shorter and kid-friendly hike, so choose your own adventure.

awesome backpacking trip for our littles. The beach is amazing! Beware - Site 2 is covered in poison oak!

The rangers were helpful, the trails were beautiful, and the campsites were well-maintained with potable water, toilets, and trash. Highly recommend a short backpacking trip to enjoy the beautify of Pt Reyes!

We camped at Site #2 at Coastal Campground and it was really wonderful. We hiked the longer route into the site which was easy and partly along the water (approx. 3 miles); we left via the shorter hike up to the Hostel (approx. 2 miles) and it was really a beautiful hike. The restrooms were very clean. The beach was so beautiful and peaceful.

More trash than expected for a pack in location. Filled a small trash bag on the way too and from camp. Watched the rangers drive past some large obvious pieces multiple times. : (

I'm a frequent visitor to the park and have only been overwhelmed with the simple beauty of Coast Camp. I thought I'd miss my normal routes going through Bear Valley and hiking through the wonderful trails on the ridge. Popping out way above the shoreline and winding down to the Coast trail is such a blast. But the short 3 mile route from the hostel was gorgeous all on its own. Happy people, stunning blue skies, and the ocean on my right made for a perfect solo birthday hike. The campground was clean and well maintained. The bathrooms are the best part! Just kidding. The bathrooms fine.

I had reservations last year when the fire ran through the valley. I was so sad and thank all the fire crews for their heroic work. And thank you to the crews that are working to restore Sky and Glenn.

And thanks to the skunk, crows, vultures, bat, and braided sparrows who made it all perfect!
