The visitor center staff were friendly and helpful. I always check-in to see if there are any trail conditions I need to know about. The trails and campsite were well maintained. This is a heavily used campground and it looked well cared for. Though signage for the specific campsites was hard to find. Alamere Falls is a short beach hike from the Wildcat camp. But make sure to check on the tides as you cannot get there at high tide.

Camp 6 was amazing, there is a little trail to your own private hill where you can view the beach and sunset. Most private campsite as well, you can't see into it from any direction.

Great campsites. The water at wildcat camp tasted terrible. Heavily treated. Maybe that is necessary but it definitely did not taste good.

I had a wonderful experience at Wildcat Campground, a magical place. Stunning views of the rugged cliffs, amazing sunset, and even a whale sighting in the morning. Highly recommended. Point Reyes is a national treasure.

Unparalleled ocean views, gorgeous forests dripping with lichen. Greatest lighthouse youll ever visit. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. An amazing wildness experience!

Great misty couple of days at Wildcat. Even filmed a juvenile bobcat successfully hunting a mole. Potable water was tasty, garbage and recycling bins tidy and bathrooms well maintained. Thanks NFS!

Trail was well maintained, campground has new concrete benches

The campground is great! I'd previously hiked past it and thought it lacked privacy and must be windy, but neither of these things was remotely true. The grasses are tall enough such that each campsite is secluded and protected from the coastal winds. My only complaint is minor: The sign pointing to campsite #6 was out of place and therefore caused some confusion. Otherwise, the bathroom was remarkably clean and, despite warnings of ticks, I didn't see any.

This was my inaugural backpack trip after a nearly 3 decade hiatus. The Stewart trail from Five Brooks trailhead to Wildcat campground was pretty, but it was a dirt road and the Greenpicker trail I took back after a detour to Glen campground was prettier though overgrown with vegetation. The camping facilities at Wildcat wee great with privacy, potable water, nearby beach and pit toilets. I also loved my extra day hikes to Alamere Falls along the beach and then to the upper falls via the Ocean Lake Loop. The hiking in and out would have been more enjoyable if I left earlier both days so it wouldnt have been so hot.

Great campsite at Wildcat. Some trails in serious need of trail maintenance due to overgrowth. I know they have been dealing with alot of havoc from the Woodward fire and then the heavy rains last year felling many trees. I am very sensitive to poison oak and the trails are really overgrown to the point you cant avoid touching it. I feel bad for any kids hiking through it. I came prepared with alcohol wipes and used them to wipe down any exposed areas and my hiking poles.

Beautiful

It was beautiful & the trail was well maintained. Saw a. elephant seal, elk, coyote & even a mountain lion! Unfortunately, there was lots of used toilet paper littered along side the trail.

Awesome campsite but beware the basic map on the sign when you arrive isn't accurate. Campsite 6 is NOT closer to the water than # 7. Campsite 6 is actually closer to #5 and making it even harder campsite #6 has no number.

Great hike with my kids and amazing camp site.

Beautiful location with the sound of ocean waves to lull you to sleep.

The area where these campsites are located is exceptionally nice. To have a campsite that you must backpack to but still have toilets and running water is a huge plus.

Wildcat is my favorite campsite, but Coast campsite is very nice as well. My favorite part was hiking from wildcat to coast camp for the following nights stay. I saw a ton of wild life while camping including a Bobcat. I highly recommend Poiny Reyes.

The camp ground was really beautiful and peaceful. We got the best spot(number - 6) and it has a small trail that goes to the edge of a cliff. The view from the cliff during night time was really good.

Wildcat doesn't disappoint. Pretty easy hike with a few minor climbs here and there. Spectacular coastal views on the trail and at camp.
