Coast Camp is a great location to base your trip out of. You can hike to Sculptured Beach, climb the hills and enjoy the expansive beach nearby.

Beautiful campsite, at the nexus of multiple trails. Easy access to limestone cliff beach. NPS maintains the vault toilets and trash bins very well. Concrete picnic benches and bear/racoon cages are great. I'll come back!

It was a beautiful area. The campsite was not as private as it seemed while booking with the group site right next-door. Be on the lookout for poison oak there is a lot of it in this campsite!

I love Coast Camp, but I was disappointed by the trash in the bushes around campsite No. 14. I think it needs a cleanup.Thanks.

We had a wonderful time at this campground. We saw so much wildlife and enjoyed exploring the beach, which is just a short walk away. We departed from the Laguna trailhead and the hike is very pleasant and not difficult. The one downside of this campground is there arent trees at the campsites, so we were in the sun a lot. The weather was not hot, but we still found it a bit unpleasant without shade. All in all, we loved our trip here!

Great visit at coast and sky camps in August of 2022. The new food storage lockers appear to be rodent proof, no evidence of mice or anything else inside overnight!Even though both campgrounds showed zero availability when I was there many of the sites were empty. Id like to see a higher penalty for no shows so the rest of us can enjoy. No shows should be banned from future bookings.

We stayed at Coast Camp and Sky Camp (one night each) - something we've been doing each spring for many years while hiking an extended loop within Pt Reyes NS. It's pretty wonderful!

Coast Camp was clean, we had site 14. Grassy with some shrubs for wind block. Bring stakes and cord for wind. Water and bathrooms are a nice bonus at camp.

We enjoyed excellent weather on this three day backpacking trip to Coast Camp. While there we hiked to Sculptured Beach and up to the interesting rock formation above the campground (trail was just south of Coast Camp).

Trails are open now and we did an 11 mile loop out of Coast Camp. Saw some migrating Grey Whales.

Spectacular place to visit. Had just hiked the Colorado Trail and didn't see as many elk as we did on our short hike down to the coast campground. Be sure to take a look at the tide pools, and keep an eye out for the great horned owl flying around at dusk!

Coast Camp made for a great first time backpacking trip. The sound of ocean waves will lull you too sleep. Plan to spend some time exploring the nearby beaches.
Both the Laguna Trail and Coast Trail were doable. Stick to the Coast Trail if you want to avoid steep hills or if prefer to bike in.
