Everything was really well kept and easy to navigate. I loved this campsite! It was pretty muddy in late Feb, but otherwise great! Lots of deer came to visit us at night and we fell asleep to the sounds of frogs ribbiting.

Camp 12 and surroundings were flooded on Feb 18. Very small dry area to set-up the tent, the rest of the campsite is full of water and my feet kept getting wet getting from the path to the tent. This campground has 2 water faucets, one of them near the bathroom is flooded.

We cycled along the Coast Trail from Laguna Trailhead to the Coast Campground in January. The trip is lovely, easy and flat, and we saw a little group of Tule Elk along the trail. The Coast Campground is in a wonderful location, and the campsites are generously sized and fairly flat. Our only complaint was that the drainage at the spigot was poor, and so it had kind of a swamp around it.

Hike south from the campsites beach entrance to see some cool tide pools and little bluffs beware of the tide though

This was our very first backpacking/hike-to camping trip and it was delightful! We saw many different animals and a deer even walked through our campsite. The sites were large and spaced out very nicely. The bathrooms weren't too bad and the picnic tables, bear boxes and potable water were all extremely nice to have available. We will definitely be back!

Perfect trip. 6 miles in from Bear Valley Teailhead. Started at 1:30 and arrived before sunset at 5. Sky Trail well maintained. Camp site was wide open, soft ground.

Wildcat, Coast and Sky camps in that order were great. Trails were well marked. High chaparral in sunny areas but trail always visible. A gang of Elk stood guard all night at Wildcat. Riders and backpackers all very friendly. Vault toilets clean and supplied. Designated camp sites were clean and well marked. Trails, terrain and views were fantastic. Got something different on each hike- overall a great backpacking loop.

Fam friendly/Newb friendly 2mile hike into the Coast campsite on the Laguna trail. Easy to find parking lot. (No bathrooms at the trail head btw) Clean campsite with nice bear locker, large cement table, plenty of space between campsites, and easy access to water spout, and well-maintained toilets. The beach was a quick easy walk to get to! Not much else to do except chill but cool for newb backpackers!

Easy weekday backpacking trip. Sites were big enough for a tent and a bivy. Parts of the coastal trail between Coast Camp and Bear Valley trail were a little overgrown. Wear long pants or your legs will suffer. Bring tick protection.

what an incredible place. such diversity in landscapes from wooded forests to rolling hills of brush to arid cliffs and sweeping views of the coast. I was blown away by such a beautiful place.

What a privilege to spend a night at Coast Camp. I have hiked and biked there many times but finally got to stay there - watching the sunset and the stars.
Water and toilets were convenient. Other campers were considerate. One question/complaint: three campsites seemed to be unoccupied even though the campground registered as full on the website. It had taken me weeks to get a reservation. What’s going on? Are people making reservation and not bothering to cancel when they decide not to come? Annoying…

Hike from parking lot (through beach) to campground was a bit challenging as there were no signs. Even when coming back we didn't know where the parking lot was (again no sign was there)

Love Coast Camp! Sites 1-7 and 14 offer more privacy. Sites 8-13 are better for larger groups. Wonderful to go to sleep with the sound of the ocean in your ears!
Beautiful campsite right next to the beach, clean facilities and bathrooms. Shame you can't bring dogs here, but we enjoyed it regardless

We had a lovely night backpacking into Coast Campground. Took the Coast trail in and the Laguna trail out. Great first trip for me. Site 12 was close to the restrooms (without being TOO close), and close to water. It was foggy/windy by 5pm but that's the coast marine layer in May for you. Would love to go back and explore more of Pt Reyes National Seashore.
Beautiful camp grounds with lots of space, right next to the beach. Toilets, trash, recycling, bear box, and water at the camp site. Easy hike in from the point reyes hostel. Plan on camping there again. Caution of the crows, they stole some of our food.

Coast camp is an awesome little camp that is a sheltered valley with good facilities and running water. Just a few hundred yards from the beach and being able to put your toes in the sand!
