Site 6 is gorgeous! Theres enough space for at least two tents. Not too much tree coverage so you can get a good view of fhe sun setting and clouds changing colors in the morning. Even with a full camp, youre hardly able to see other sites which makes it feel more secluded/private. Great great site!

We hiked from the Bear Valley Visitors center to the Sky Campground via the Meadow Trail. The Meadow trail was overgrown and clearly not being maintained, in many places the trail was barely visible. I was scared we would all have ticks. My husband and I both got a little bit of stinging nettle, we hadnt known what it looked like previously, and we were careful to avoid it later. The following day we decided to move our car to the Sky trail head parking lot, we hiked down using the horse trail. Again, the trail was over grown, not maintained, and barely visible at times. Again, I was scared of the occurrence of ticks. On the horse trail we had to be more vigilant to avoid the poison oak and stinging nettle, there was more on this trail than on the Meadow Trail. We had hoped to hike down to the beach, but all of the trails seemed too dangerous due to lack of maintenance. We had our two sons with us and we are trying to teach them how to appreciate and respect the outdoors and public parks. If we cant be assured of a reasonable degree of safety when hiking, we will have to go places where we feel safer.

Site was beautiful, the sunset is picturesque.I traveled with my husband and our 3 kiddos with a heavy wagon. We would redo this trip again but pack LIGHTER next time because the hike is a steep uphill 1 mile hike that took us an hour because we had to take breaks pushing that wagon.Once there the site was beautiful. Bathrooms were stinky but again its a public bathroom so cant expect too much from it. Trashcans available next to bathrooms.

All of the spots at sky camp are incredible! Clean and great views. Know that it can get windy and it is an uphill hike.

Sky Camp was wonderful, clean, well maintained. The trails were all marked well. My only complaint , was that the top of Mt. Wittenberg (don't expect a view) and the loop trail up there, were not marked well, but that was a minor issue. The park is amazing, it is managed and maintained beautifully. Please don't be a "no show" for camping reservations. Cancel if you can't come!! So many people want to enjoy it, and can't because of empty campsites. Just because you paid for it doesn't mean that you should be selfish about it. Cancel!!!!

Stayed at Glen and Sky. Glen was a bit wet and the water was brownish but Sky was perfect as always.

The site is clean and due to rainy weather I had almost the entire campsite to myself. The view is spectacular and can be seen from almost any campsite. Im glad the place was empty because this site is more exposed and has limited privacy. The water is a bit difficult to find in the dark, so I recommend looking while its daylight. It is tucked away near the bathrooms on a path that can be mistaken for a trail at nighttime.

Beautiful fog in the mornings, great spot to pitch tent, and excellent view. Sightings of foxes, birds, young buck, and a bob cat!

Really beautiful campsite with ocean views!! Loved the spot to set up camp that was a little more in the trees at site 006. Super easy and beautiful 1.4 mile hike out to it too.
