Great views from campsite 4 out of sky camp. No shade during the day so a hike down to the beach was necessary to stay cool! We did see lots of wildlife including our friend Garret, who is quite tall.

Loved it! Just prepare for long weeds on some of the northern trails, such as the fire trail or bayview

We had a fantastic experience camping at Sky Camp. This was one of the most beautiful campsites I have ever visited. We stayed in #4 and had the most beautiful views of the ocean. Easy hike in, with many more hike options once you arrive, and longer routes to arrive. Went on NYE and the temperature was moderate. There was an outhouse with toilet paper, trash and recycling bins, a bear box, and potable running water nearby.

The Rangers at Bear Run Visitor Center were most helpful with adjusting our campsite location to better fit our hike, they are awesome! Anna & Joe

I love how many hiking trails there are; I was able to hike over 40 miles during a 2 night backpacking trip. Everything is so well maintained—many thanks to all the rangers and trail crews.

Many thanks to the Park Rangers and Volunteers who maintain beautiful trails and comfortable camp sites at gorgeous spots within the National Seashore. See you again soon. Thanks again!

Our time at Point Reyes was great at Sky Camp. Just in the camp itself we saw a Peregrine Falcon land in a tree 5 feet away and 10 feet up, we saw many other animals as well, Rabbits, Quail, Fox, chipmunk. The view from the camp was beautiful and the hike from camp put us into the rainforest within a mile.

Amazing site, very clean, very quite. However, the lack of campfire was quite disappointing.

Sky camp is beautiful and peaceful. You can expect to see lovely views. The trek up from sky camp trailhead takes about 30 minutes, but is almost all uphill, so you should pack minimally. As for accommodations, there is a pit toilet, potable water for general use and a picnic table and bear safe storage at each site. I stayed in site 4 and had a lot of privacy and a nice view. I would recommend visiting sculptured beach for a moderate to challenging hike and hiking to wildcat camp/alamere falls for something more challenging.

Great campsites, nice variety of terrain with beaches and mountains in close proximity. I took the public bus from San Francisco so it was easy to get there for cheap.

The view is beautiful. There are other campsites around you, but each is secluded in its own little area so you don't notice others much. It was colder than expected, but we were there in November.
