I had a great time camping at Coast Camp. Clean and level sites. Great spot!

Our particular campsite (Site 10) happened to be upwind of the outhouse and was a tad smelly at times but it was a very beautiful campground.

Stayed at coast one night and glen the other. The camps were nice. As soon as I got home I started planning another trip with my family.

It was windy, so bring warm gear. Great campground close to the beach with drinking water, vault toilets, food locker, and bins for trash. Perfect for a hike to the secret beach and amphitheater/sky cave due to proximity and ability to time arrival with low tide. Coast trail is longer but wide, flat, and easy. You can even use a mountain bike to take the Coast Trail. Laguna trail goes uphill and is more narrow with gullies but has blackberries. Definitely recommend!

The trail was basically a road, easy to follow on foot or bicycle. Campsites were clean and cared for. Each campsite from #1-7 had an abundance of poison oak on the perimeter, but that is natural. Restrooms were clean and well-stocked with toilet paper, even in the face of federal budget cuts for the national parks. Overall, a wonderful place to recreate.

Great to watch the sunset on the beach then have a short walk back to camp.

Beautiful area. The campground was clean and located perfectly for an exploration of the nearby beach.

Still my favorite place to camp! We were camped downwind of the bathroom, but that was the only negative. It was clean and well stocked, just quite potent.

Beautiful location, quiet campsite, fabulous beach, great hiking on Coast Trail, Woodward Valley, Rift Zone and Greenpicker

We biked in via the Coast Trail. We brought two little kids in a bike trailer and had packs on our bike. For anyone planning to bike, there is one fairly steep drop to cross over a stream, and then a steep climb back up. The rest of the trail is easy biking with slight elevation change. We loved our time at Coast Campground. We got hit by a storm in the night, but the sun came out the next morning and dried all of our equipment before we had to leave. We saw whales off the coast, had deer in our campsite, heard coyotes in the night, and saw a banana slug. It was beautiful and peaceful. We hiked to the tide pools, played in the streams, and hiked along the cliff top. Wish we would have stayed another night.

The campground was flooded in early March when we went. One of the water spigots was in the middle of the flood zone, fortunately the other one for the area was not. There are quite a few foot paths in the area, take time to explore them.

Lots of poison oak on trails that are not cut back. We need more money for our national parks to maintain trails. Campgfounds were clean but very close together, not sure it counts when you can hear the person snoring in the tent nest to you. The nature and the animals, however, remain pristine.

Still pretty cold and wet nights in late April, but the vibrant green hill hikes and desolate beaches make this place a must stay :)

We did three nights in early April. The weather was cool and it rained one night and day, but it was totally worth seeing the new flowers popping up. We also saw quail, turkey vultures, hawks, deer, elk, and other birds. What a variety of rainforest, burned forest on the comeback, coastal plains, running creeks, waterfall...really fun and well maintained trails with the exception of a few newly downed trees.

Great as always. 2 nights at one camp, then 2 nights at another so I can dayhike on the two in-between days. This was mid-November and the days were beautiful, high 60's to 70, but nights were literally freezing - frost on tent and ground every morning even though the forecasted lows were around 40 degrees. Same thing happened last January and Feb, seems like it's always colder at night in the winter than the NWS forecast predicts, so bring more longjohns etc than you think you'll need. I see freezing cold people in the mornings year-round, actually. Also watch out for ticks even in winter. I had to pull one out this time that was tiny, all engorged yet only the size of a poppy seed. Carry a good pair of tweezers and get a course of doxycycline right away afterwards if you get bit, Lyme disease is not worth the risk. The juveniles like the one I got are teeny - now that it's out and dead it has dried up to the size of a speck, like one of these periods. They can carry Lyme just like the adults. I've done this backpack around 10 times this year and only gotten bit this once, though a friend who was with me one of those times got a tick bite.PS PLEASE don't leave your TP on the ground! carry a little plastic bag in your pocket to take it to a trash bin or just back home! I end up taking other people's out every time and there's still more. People apparently think Pt. Reyes is their own private wastebasket.

I had the BEST time. Coast camp was beautiful and it wasn't as cold as I thought it would be. I didn't have any trouble with rodents in the bear box getting at my food either. Would highly recommend.
