Very easy and really pretty bike in from the Limantour lodge parking lot. Campground is easy to find, conditions are excellent, sheltered from the find, water-a-plenty, beach is really close. Went in with a five and an eight year old, they had a great time. Not the place for solitude but thats to be expected this close to SF!

Hike is less than an hour on a flat gravel road. Water tastes good and campsites are very nice. Our campsite and the neighboring one had separate trails to go to the bathroom which is nice. Beach is beautiful with lots of tide pools and rocks to the south.

Good location. A little muddy after the recent rains.

Great campground, we got lucky with weather in late November - pretty breezy and chilly but nothing layering up can't help with. Small trash cans (not dumpsters) onsite, typical vault toilets, bear vault was very secure (no worries about small rodents, probably didn't need a bear can to put in the vault). Stone/cement tables and benches, no campfires allowed. We spotted at least 1 skunk in the night so make sure to keep your eyes open. The campground loop is right around a small hill from a beach with lots of soft sand, so bring a towel or a chair and definitely try to catch the sunset if you can. Highly recommend hiking in from Bear Valley visitors' center if you're able to - you can hike in and out on different routes for variety, it's about 6 miles and 1300 feet of ascent (and then descent) each way.

This is a beautiful campsite, with great beach views and views of the beautiful rolling hills. It was also nice that it had running potable water and bathrooms, making the camping easy and approachable.

We went during a rainstorm, which ended up being so so fun. We stayed in site 11 which has moderate cover from the wind which helped are tents stay up in the night . For what it was, it worked really well. Bathroom is just a toilet with a bottomless hole with a water spout 30 feet away. Nice cement tables and new (as of dec 2023) food lockers. I dont know how useful this is but it didnt flood and there were not trees to fall down on us during the crazy storm. We had two 2-person tents and they fit pretty nicely in the space (they were close though, I could hear all the rustling from the other tent). All and all good experiences. Would definitely check it out

Close to the beach, but there is a big sand dune between you and the beach. Good distance between campsites.

The campsite was in a perfect location just off the Coast Trail and a short walk from the beach. We hiked in after dusk and the dirt road made the short hike extremely easy. The bathrooms and water spigots were also clean. The food lockers were in great condition and we did not have any issues with raccoons or other critters. Unfortunately, part of the campground was flooded but it seemed like all of the sites still had dry ground to set up on. Be warned that both nights of our stay were fairly windy and the campground is pretty exposed.

My wife and I enjoyed a night at coast, two nights at wildcat and a final night at Glen. Gorgeous place to camp! We had a mile of beach all to ourselves as we walked out of wildcat and went right - harbor seals were on the rocks, cormorants, loons pelicans, surf scooters, whimbrels, short billed dowitchers, ospreys- bring good binoculars! Saw grey fox and red tailed hawk and vultures effortlessly soaring overhead. Eight elk came out in front of us on the way to glen campground. Very memorable trip! Bathrooms were clean and the fact that I didnt have to pack water was such a plus. And the rangers at the visitor center were great. Ill be back!

We had a wonderful two night stay.... I would note that if it is very windy (and it often is...), site 011 is very exposed compared to other sites up the hill. Some of the other more sheltered sites up the hill would be better during windy periods... Otherwise, bring good tent stakes!

Loved being so close to the ocean so you can walk along the beach in either direction.

Unfortunately, two campsites, nos. 12 and 13, were not occupied even though all information indicated the entire Coast Camp would be full. The system is not good for cancellations and allowing others to get a campsite.

Being so close to the Beach was nice. Listening to the crash of the waves made it easy to sleep. Buzzards got into our 12 hamburgers before us. Never leave food out here. Really amazing backpacking site 2 miles from the road, I will probably be back.

Amazing place!!! Limantour road was closed when we visited so we had to start the hike in at Bear Valley Center, it is longer but totally worth it! If you are doing the same make sure to start early. The beach is amazing, you will have it all for you. Watch out for raccoons and birds that will still your food at the first opportunity!! We left the backpacks during the day for a couple hours and when we came back al the zippers were open and fruit bars stolen.

This is a walk-in campground with some level sites, bathroom and recycling and garbage facilities, and tables. These are very nice, simple amenities for a good nature experience

Our trip to point reyes was great. The people that worked at Point Reyes seemed very friendly and knowledgeable. The woman who we picked up our camping reservation from was helpful and offered us good hiking suggestions for getting to our campsite as well as good trails to hike the next day. Our campsite had an amazing view of the rest of Point Reyes (sky camp).
