The campsite was big enough for 14 people. The beach had tide pools at low tide. We saw deer on the hill overlooking us. Coyote were calling in the night.

Beautiful campsite! We were in the Group Site which is pretty exposed to the elements and along the main trail. It was much more windy than some of the more tucked away sites. Still, it was absolutely gorgeous. Nice amenities. Recommend getting a fire permit to have a bonfire on the beach! Our first day was a short hike (from near the hostel), so we all carried a few pieces of wood -- definitely a highlight of the trip.

We were going to be a late arrival on our first night, so I called ahead to ask some questions about parking, fire permits, etc. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Zero hiccups getting to our group site (aside from a squatter, but that was not an issue). Bear boxes at the campsite were sturdy and clean and the bathroom facilities were fine. Campsite was level and easy to set up on. Typical of Point Reyes, it was gorgeous out there and everyone had a great time. Maps for the area were accurate and easy to obtain, either in person or digitally.

The backpacking sites at Coast Campground were great! We were impressed with the number of ammenities provided: pit toilets, clean drinking water, trash/recycling bins, picnic tables and grills. Our site was clean and had good spots to pitch a tent.

The site claimed potable water however the water was brown with plenty of debris we were not prepared for not potable water. Maybe it was potable but we didn’t want to chance it. This has been reported apparently but rangers did not arrive to at least put note to inform us as to the water condition

Really nice campground, we stayed at the group camping sites that were large (not a lot of privacy - but the foot traffic is very light and mostly by co-campers only). It gets pretty chilly and windy - so pack gear accordingly. We also realized that the food lockers were not sealed properly - so the rodents chewed through some of our food stored in ziplocks. Luckily we packed some ductapes and steelwool to prevent further damage to our food.We loved the stroll to Sculptured beach and Limantour beach. Kids enjoyed the tidepools at Sculptured beach.

The hike/walk to coast camp was fairly level and short and Limatour beach was really beautiful in the morning. Accessible easy to use water and toilet facilities. A gorgeous location, on of my favorite in California

There's a lot of space at the campground, but not much privacy. It was difficult to find the campsites in the night. Despite the name, the campgrounds don't have a view of the water.

Absolutely loved it. This campsite is a bit more exposed then others. Way very windy!! All in all was wonderful though!

Great customer service. Make sure you know that you will have no direction to the site once you leave your vehicle. There are no signs to direct your hike in to the campground.
