Such a beautiful campsite and view! It was my favorite site hands down ever. The surrounding area was gorgeous, site #5 is the best, high on the hill, great view, lots of shade and trees. Would highly recommend!

Great campsite at Sky Camp. Be warned about the very wet summer fog. Indistinguishable from rain, so come prepared.

Loved this site. The hike was 1.5 miles uphill but was nice. Can't wait to come back!

Campgrounds were clean and amazing! Unfortunately almost all of the trails were in pretty rough shape completely overgrown along with tons of poison oak and stinging nettle hanging into the trails so cover up!

My second time at Sky camp, which I have found to be beautiful year-round, whatever the weather. The views across Drakes bay more than make up for the mile and a half hike uphill from the trailhead to the campsite. Very peaceful and quiet site. The only sounds are the wind in the trees, distant breakers on Limantour beach, and the occasional woodpecker. Since there is good potable water on-site, you need only carry what you need for the hike up, which saves weight in your pack.

I hiked up to Sky Camp along the Mt. Whittenberg trail, which was quite steep. (For context, a good hike for me is usually 6-8 miles and includes 500+ feet of elevation gain.) From my site, I had a clear view out to the ocean. There was some clouds and fog as the sun went down, which led to an absurdly beautiful two hours of gorgeous sunset. The fog rolled in as full dark fell, thickly enough that the trees were dripping. I woke the next morning to light to moderate rain, which made for an atmospheric hike out. I looped the long way, taking Sky Trail to Old Pine, and out along Bear Valley to the Bear Valley Visitor Center. Overall, very enjoyable! Glad I tried an October backpacking trip and will definitely be doing so again. Also, all this was accomplished using the 68 bus- no need to drive out!

Pretty easy hike in. #5 had great views. Wonderful area to watch the sunset and sunrise. Some trees for shade or hammock hanging and to provide some privacy.

Beautiful campsite. Be aware of coyotes, spotted 3 on 3/2/23 within the campground near the pit toilet and near the campsite. Ran off when I talked loudly to them, but they're around. Very chilly and windy but worth it for the view of the sunset.

Amazing views, great, spread out campsites, and a short hike in for kids. Only downside was that the direction to put wash water down the pit toilets made them incredibly, uhhh, "biologically active" on hot days.

Campsite #5 is nice and shady up the hill in the trees. The facilities are clean and well maintained. The trails are maintained and not too busy.

An awesome hike if you start at the visitor center and head up Mt. Wittenberg trail. Campsite is well kept with beautiful views of the ocean. Our only disappointment was the fog had come in after setting up camp and never left. A very heavy fog settled over us and when the fog is that heavy its like a steady heavy rain! Oh well! Cant change the weather. We enjoyed ourselves regardless but did leave a day earlier after being soaked. Fantastic site ! Will go again!

Everything was in working order, the restrooms were clean, there was zero trash present. The campsite was different from previous trips due to the 2020 Woodward fire, some trees removed, shrubbery burned, etc, but the Park service did a great job in reopening the campground.

When I arrived at my site there was a vagrant in residence. I moved all his junk to the site entrance. He came in the middle of the night and the next morning into our site.I Asked him to leave and he set up at another site that also had reservations. The elderly couple asked me for help and I move his stuff out of their site. Someone managed to get in touch with the rangers and they asked him to leave, which he did. He came back later and we decided to leave as well as several other people. It would be best if the sites were checked at least once a day to verify the reservations

I absolutely love backpacking at Point Reyes National Seashore. The trails are well maintained and just challenging just enough. Also, theres plenty of campgrounds available throughout the year. Point Reyes National Seashore also has a fantastic visitors center. The Seashore is a gem.

My site at Skye Camp was clean, spacious and included a table and barbecue. Pit toilets were adequate and running water readily available. Great experience.

Point Reyes is absolutely gorgeous. We backpacked for three days and two nights and stayed at Wildcat Camp along the coast and Sky Camp in the woods. They represent the diversity of flora, fauna, and landscape in the area which are so diverse and beautiful. The hiking trails take you through breathtaking scenery at nearly every turn. The staff at Bear Valley were helpful and friendly. The whole experience was incredibly memorable and we can't wait to come back.

Wonderful campsites on top of a coastal mountain. Pit toilets and water faucet were convenient. Not another source of water up on the hilltop, so glad the faucet was available. The short hike to the campsites is steep but lots of awesome trail are accessible from the top.
