The campground is very well taken care. Kudos to the amazing rangers that cleared the fire road from the fallen trees so soon after the storm.

Beautiful camping spot on the ridge with views out to the beaches of Pt. Reyes. Campsites are well located with some visibility one to the other but spots of privacy as well. Exposed to wind. Great spot to launch longer hikes from.

Great campsite with nice separation of individual sites, clean toilets, and potable water. Z Ranch Trail needs better marking to Horse Trail and clearing of fallen trees. Trail to Sculptured Beach overgrown; otherwise, great hike.

Nice campground

Two group camps were very loud, one nearly all night. It'd be nice if a ranger could enforce the regulations we all agreed to.

There was a storm passing through Point Reyes and the Bay Area the night I camped. According tot he forecast, I did not anticipate the intensity of the storm as it actually arrived. Harrowing winds and rain all night. Constant Fog from the time I arrived to leaving. I've been daydreaming of camping in Point Reyes for a long time so I will have to return and re-write the memory in better conditions.

Sky Campground is great! Site 7 doesn't have as amazing a view as some of the other sites at Sky, but it is nicely secluded. We hiked in from the Bear Valley Trailhead via Meadow Trail, which was very doable for beginner backpackers at a little under 3 miles and about 1100 feet elevation gain. You can extend or shorten the hike in as desired. It's about four miles to get to the coast from the campground, making it a perfect day trip. We hiked down to Sculptured Beach on our second day, and then hiked back to the campsite for a second night. Highly recommended!

Point Reyes is my favorite place to camp out for a night! Wonderful experience every time. My only comment is that the bathrooms sometimes smell quite strong. Must be all the backpacking food.

so much bang for the buck. yes, it's a back in only which means those who show up are respectful and know what a gem this is.

Great campsite and home base for excellent hiking. Fun long hike down to the beach and doing some of the coastal trail is a great way to spend a day. Site 7 is tucked in the corner so pretty private but doesn't offer much in way of views. Hardly anyone there when I went so looked at most sites, 10, 11, 12 and 5 would be top picks for me for views and privacy.

I always have the best trips to point Reyes the distance to backpacking sites ranges so itโ€™s perfect for short or long trips. The sites are well kept up and all have bear lockers!

The campsites and trails were well maintained, especially areas that had been recently burned. Pt reyes continues to be an excellent backpacking spot. The only issue is that Glen camp has many of the campsite numbers destroyed so you can't figure out which spot is your assigned campsite.

Many of the trails are very overgrown in the park and could be hazardous since one cannot see the ground they are stepping on, and ticks are unavoidable because one has to wade through overgrown grasses up to chest level in many sections. I was prompted to do a tick check every 2 minutes traveling the trails (Old Pine and Meadow trails which lead to Sky Camp where I had a reservation).
