We absolutely love Pine Flat and most everything Army Core...BUT...some of these campsites are definitely not for the faint hearted..Site 22 will leave you sleepless and worried over the steep decline your rig is parked on...bring EXCESSIVE leveling options and extra tire choks. plan accordingly. We stayed in site 22..wish we could post a pic of our balancing act. Definitely wild.

Our site was on a steep incline next to the edge of a drop-off. Which made my wife a little nervous. The view was fantastic.

We were very happy with our stay, the view of the lake was stellar, the weather was perfect, the park ranger was so kind and friendly. The only thing is the spaces are very unlevel and require a lot of blocks to level the RV. We used everything we had and were fine, had we not brought so many blocks we would be taking a trip to Fresno to buy some more. The bathrooms and showers leave alot to be desired, cool water in shower with low water flow, cleanliness is not the best, and some are closed. This campground needs alot of upkeep and then it would be a well sought after place to camp.

Some nice sites. Water level had been very low, but was rising. Many sites are not at all level, require substantial number of leveling blocks. Many sites have nice views of the lake.

Roads in were steep, not all sites were level but overall a wonderful experience

This campground needs a lot of work. All sights are not level... not just a little but by a great deal ..... unlevel. I know it is old, but for goodness sakes improvements are greatly needed. Bathrooms/showers were very verty dirty. There were weird weasels or some sort of hybrid squirrels by the hundreds that would mark all their ground dens by pee. I was so worried we would bring one home. The pictures are nothing on what the park is. The road in is very windy and when you finally arrive there is a couple of steep switch backs to the camp sights. Only very comfident people should attempt this. Only 30 amp too. Never again will I stay here. I was counting the hours to leave.

The two bathrooms that were open were extremely dirty and you could tell it had been a long time since they had been cleaned. There was a person that came by to clean they were in and out of both bathrooms in 10 minutes. We were there for 14 days and one of the showers ran the whole time I could not shut if off and a the ranger didnt do anything about it. Also there was quite a bit of broken glass around the camp sites very disappointed

Loved the beach down the hill from our campsite. Sites are pretty exposed to others and noise, so other rowdy campers may dampen your experience. My dogs had a lot of trouble with little prickles and burs constantly stabbing their paw pads or getting caught in their fur.
