Love this campground sooo much! 81 is next to restroom and shared trash dumpster which is good or bad depending on your outlook. Such a nice walk to the shore, close to a lovely cafe, market and Sunnyside restaurant.

Pros: Clean, large campground. Right across from Lake Tahoe with access to a beautiful small public beach. The camp hosts were fantastic!Cons: Surrounded by a neighborhood on three sides. Felt like youre camping in their backyards (because you are). I would book a site again due to the proximity to the lake.

We loved camping here! The hosts are the nicest and most attentive we have every experienced. The restrooms and sites are very clean. Location is great! Walk to Sunnyside area for coffee and hot chocolate. Sweet little beach. Quiet at night.

William Kent is nestled in a residential area with a small portion on Lake Tahoe. It is a charming campground on the West Shore which is considered the best shore by those who live there. It is a wonderful place to enjoy camping.

The hosts are the best! We took their advice and had dinner at the Swiss Lakewood. The patio was beautiful and the food was spectacular. The hosts are very clear about the bears and how to keep them away (hint: forget about s'mores after dark) but they also don't get too panicked when the bears inevitably show up. Keeps everyone on an even keel. This was our 3rd time at William Kent and we will be back again next year!

Campground fantastic. The hosts Rich, Linda, Ed, Judy were the best. They are excellent. We had a 38' Class A, little tight and a few trees were a little scary. We still had a blast. Two down falls were verizon only 1 or 2 bars and the dump station should be on the way out not on the way in. Other than that it was spectacular.

Wonderfully helpful hosts, great restaurants nearby. Kayaks for rent across the street. Beautiful bike paths nearby as well. Clean bathrooms and neat sites.

The hosts are excellent. Bath rooms are in good condition. Access for large RVs is very poor. Scratches to paint and damage to rubber roofs are common. This is a USFS campground managed by a private company. I have complained in writing to that company and nothing get done. Private driveway standards for vegetation clearance in California are not even met. Fire trucks would not dare go into this campground. The campground will not allow campers to prune their trees to keep from scratching their RVs.
