The gentleman at check in was very nice, the Yurt we rented smelled a little funny and had some leftovers from the last people but the smell went away just after we got windows and the door open.

My wife and I stayed there for just one night, and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. We stayed in a yurt, had a campfire and walked across the highway to the Sunnyside for dinner and drinks. Will consider staying here again.

This has always been my favorite campsite since I was a kid here in Tahoe! The west shore of Tahoe is a hidden gem and there are some great hiking, biking and dog walking trails over here as well as wonderful restaurants if you'd rather eat out than barbecue! I highly recommend it!

Yurt really going to love staying in this park. The "beach" across the street is about a 300 foot stretch of pebbly coastline, just FYI.

We were in Yurt 002 which had a very large flat site away from the road surrounded by several tall pines trees that created a sense of privacy. The beds in the yurt were very comfortable. The mattress is enclosed in a thick dark green vinyl cover, like seats on a school bus. The restroom was directly behind the yurt, but far enough that it wasn't an issue. There is no soap or paper towels in the restroom, so bring your own. Across the campground on the other side of Hwy 89 is the public beach access for Wm. Kent but the waterfront beach is tiny. There is also an all in one deli, coffee, desserts and mini grocery store across from the campground. You must do the 3 hour long Truckee River rafting trip, it's totally worth it!
