Great camping spot. Short walk to lake. Clean facilities and sites. Is in a small community so houses nearby. Can be heard but not really seen.

Had campsite 36 for pop up, very hilly with small driveway. Couldnt get all 4 tires on pavement by 6 inches. Went to office to see if he could help. He said doesnt matter its a thousand dollar fine. I asked to maybe change our campsite for us. He said hes not.going to help us, he laughed and said Im not going to lose my job. He told us to contact rec. gov. Had to cancel two days and pay extra fee. Cost $82 to just change campsites, thanks for your help!

Awesome campground. Clean well kept, right in the middle of town but still in the forest!

Little hidden gem of a campground. Its located in a residential area of the forest. Theres a cafe and market right across the street. The beach is right across the street. Its a pebble beach though. The commons beach is only a 2 mile drive north if you want a sandy beach for the kids. Theres no electric hookups. A few used their generator at needed times (morning & night) but it was quiet almost all day. Some of the spots are better in that they are more level than others. Theres one dump station that is an additional $10. Camp hosts were friendly and helpful. The thing to do around here is long bike trails and off road mountain biking. Definitely recommend.

Be sure to bring ear plugs as trailers and caravans are allowed to run their noisy generators from 7 am until 10 pm Some people run them continuously. Kind of takes the fun out of camping

Great campground will definitely be coming back! Lake Tahoe right across the street, market near by and restaurants. Even saw Boo the bear! Love that weekend.

Nice campground. Clean facilities. Bizarre layout where the picnic bench, extended area, and your bear box are on the back side of your camper, not the front.

Great location at Lake Tahoe, near Tahoe City. Many things to do: Truckee River, Lake Tahoe, rafting, bike riding, fishing, shopping, many places to eat and drink. Campground is neat and clean but you have to dry camp.
