William Kent Campground is paradise for those who love to camp. You're surrounded by the forest and it feels so far from any civilization. It's extremely peaceful. And yet, you walk out of the campground and you're at the lake with amenities like restaurants and a market. The west shore is the best shore. I would go back there every summer if I could.

It has a great location near Sunnyside restaurant and has a nice small stone beach nearby.

Nice and welcoming staff, clean campgrounds and restrooms, firepits and potable water available, pretty low light pollution- good for stargazing, pets are welcome which is awesome! Injust wish they had showers too. 😅

Great place to camp for a weekend with great access the beach (no shower available) or come with rv/camper for longer visit. The location is excellent, just across the street from the beach.

Pro: Clean campsites, great campsites , and nice host . Cons: Dont go during May, it was cold and it rained.

William Kent campground is very well maintained and managed. The host we interacted with was lovely and very helpful. The toilet areas were very well maintained and there were also ample faucets for water supply. The campsites were spacious and there were many trees to provide shade, as well as opportunities to sling some hammocks. The only drawback to this campground that it seems like the property line backs-up against some nearby private properties on two sides, which doesn't make it seem as woodsy and away from civilization as you'd hope to feel at a campsite. This is only a very small gripe and does not hinder the experience much in a negative way. It is also a very short walk to the beach and a couple places to eat if you feel like taking a break from cooking at your site.
