Since this was off season, first week in June, there were no crowds, facilities were very clean and staff was very attentive.

Great spot, pretty private for how big the campground is

The campground is very spread out and Fallen Leaf Lake is the perfect size to go out on a paddle board.

We love Fallen Leaf. One of the best campgrounds around. Wonderful sites, clean bathrooms , great trails , lake access and lots to do nearby. Staff is also always very knowledgeable and friendly.

If you are looking to just relax by the lake this is your place. Weekends are busy but the weekdays are quiet.

Great campground with spacious sites. Our party reserved 3 campsites plus 1 yurt. The yurts are very small and really only accommodate 2-3 adults or possibly a couple with 3 small children. Beautiful lake, minimal bugs. One thing that wasn't great was that there was no enforcement (that I could tell) for quiet hours. Groups of people playing music, children screaming well past the 10pm quiet time. Had a guy chopping wood at 1am next to us one night. All in all would definitely camp there again, so much nicer that the claustrophobic, parking lot style of Camp Robertson with the convenience of South Tahoe right there. No showers was a bummer, but a couple of dips in the lake certainly helps to wash off the dust. The lake water is incredible. So clean and clear. Fallen Leaf Lake still has some boats, but nothing like the hustle and bustle of Lake Tahoe.
