Beautiful campground near a beautiful lake. It is very windy by the lake so bring layers. Bears are very active, be responsible with your food and smelly gear. We camped by the meadow and in retrospect we should have picked a site closer to a bathroom because going far at night with bears active was scary.

This is one of the most beautiful campgrounds I have ever stayed at. The campground is in between the south end of Lake Tahoe and Fallen Leaf Lake. The camp hosts were very helpful and there is a general store by the entrance just in case you forgot something. If you can bring a bike, do it! This is such a big bike community, there are trails and bike paths everywhere. Be Bear Safe!! I did see a bear just outside the campground.

This is a nice campground, but only complaint is the restrooms were 1/4 mile from our campsite. That's 1/2 mile round trip. Also, there was no enforcement of camper size in the relatively small spots. Many campers had their rigs on the ground, not pavement because the campers and vehicles were too big and too many for a site. Also, the camp pavements in most of the sites have crumbled and deteriorated to a very great degree.
